Trans insanity comes for Aretha Franklin’s “Natural Woman” because violence

Aretha Franklin song ‘A Natural Woman’ blasted by transgender activists

One activist group in Norway is calling for Aretha Franklin’s hit 1968 song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” to be removed from both Apple Music and Spotify after they deemed its lyrics offensive.

The Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance took to Twitter last week to condemn the ballad, citing that it has ignited harm against transgender women.

“Aretha Franklin’s 1968 song ‘Natural Woman’ perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes,” the organization tweeted. “There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ woman.”

The message continued, “The song has helped inspire acts of harm against transgender women. TCMA is requesting it is removed from Spotify & Apple Music.”

The Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance is calling for Franklin's hit 1968 song to be removed from music streaming platforms.
According to the organization’s bio on the social media platform, they aim to promote “cultural changes to ensure the inclusivity of trans individuals.”Many Twitter users were outraged by the opinion about the Queen of Soul’s work and questioned the legitimacy of the claims.

“So, someone heard the song and attacked trans people?” one person wrote in response. “What are things that never happened for $400.”

Another wrote, “OMG Get a life & stop trying to cancel everything. How sad and pathetic one’s life must be if THIS is a priority to you. This is a GREAT song! YOU GO, GIRL! @ArethaFranklin.”

Others were so taken aback that they actually thought the statement was coming from a parody account.“This is satire, right?” one user questioned.

“Clearly this is a parody. Good one guys! Almost got me,” someone else seconded.

The organization clarified later in a follow-up tweet that they were not, in fact, a parody account, but rather that they were trying to “make culture more fair for transgender individuals.”

  1. Dear TCMA and your “allies” who may be trolling this site. How about these lyrics from the classic Dire Straights song “Money for Nothing” ?

See the little faggot with the earring and the makeup
Yeah buddy, that’s his own real hair
The little faggot got his own jet airplane
The little faggot, he’s a millionaire

    1. I rocked out to that so hard as a kid. My dad is a physician. The 2nd most recent operation I had, I asked the anesthesiologist to play it before they put me under. The entire OR was jamming out hard. They loved it.

    2. I was 10 when that song came out and I would lip sync to it and play pretend guitar. MTV actually censored the word after it came out because #feelings.

The entire 80s was gay. Culture Club, Wham, etc., and then in the late 80s with glam metal. I remember being confused because men were dressing like women, or you couldn’t tell….

But even the 80s were better than now. Ever since Bill Clinton came around, every year has gotten worse and worse. And then when Obama came the moral bottom fell completely out.

  2. You can’t say the word ‘eskimo’ on the radio in Canada. So for the radio stations that play secular Christmas music, the ‘And folks dressed up like eskimos’ line from The Christmas Song has to be blanked out.

  3. Mark,
it actually IS a parody site. Don’t fall for the double head fake… read through their twitter feed.
