Panic Mode: Philadelphia Inquirer calls on Donald Trump to drop out

By Hanna Panreck

The Philadelphia Inquirer editorial board called on former President Trump to bow out of the race following his debate with President Biden, citing a “bombastic litany of lies.”

“The debate about the debate is misplaced. The only person who should withdraw from the race is Trump,” the editorial board wrote on Saturday.

Biden’s debate performance sparked panic from members of the media, in addition to some members of the Democratic Party, as several media outlets have suggested he withdraw from the race. The Inquirer acknowledged that Biden’s showing at the debate was a “disaster,” but argued Trump was the one who should step down.

“The debate served as a reminder of what another four years of Trump would look like. More lies, grievance, narcissism, and hate. Supporters say they like Trump because he says whatever he thinks. But he mainly spews raw sewage,” the Inquirer wrote.

The editorial board argued Trump didn’t deserve a spot on the debate stage and said, “why even give him a platform?”

“Yes, Biden had a horrible night. He’s 81 and not as sharp as he used to be. But Biden on his worst day remains lightyears better than Trump on his best,” they continued.

They argued Biden surrounded himself with experienced aides that value public service and argued the president “believes in the best of America.”

“The Democrat machine is in full freak-out mode because President Trump delivered the greatest debate performance in history while Joe Biden completely embarrassed himself in from of the country and the rest of the world,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told Fox News Digital in a statement.

Feast of SS Peter and Paul: We FINALLY have a major prelate calling out Jorge Bergoglio as an antipope

COLLECT
O God, this day is sacred because of the martyrdom of Your apostles Peter and Paul. May Your Church follow the teachings of these two saints in every respect, for from them she received the faith in the beginning.

“But even if we or an angel from heaven
should preach to you a gospel other than the one that we preached to you,
let that one be accursed.
As we have said before, and now I say again,
if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received,
let him be anathema.”

Gal 1:8-9

So it came to pass that Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has leveled the charges of heresy, apostasy, schism, and usurper antipope against Jorge Bergoglio. Further still, he recognizes the whole of anti-church occupying the rightful ecclesiastical spaces of the One True Faith. As such, he logically denies the authority of those who charge him with schism, and explains why the accusers are the ones actually in schism.

This is going to take several posts to unpack. First, you need to go read the whole thing HERE.

It gets a little complicated (but if we’re honest, not really) because the scope of his statement goes well beyond the current Freemasonic antipapacy, to a condemnation of the errors of Vatican II, all of the rotten fruit it has borne, and how nuChurch is very much a different religion than what came before, and how its staunchest defenders will come right out and proudly admit it.

Yeah. Go read the whole thing. I’ll be back.

NYT board, all of them never-Trumpers, call on Biden to quit

June 28, 2024, 5:59 p.m. ET

…At Thursday’s debate, the president needed to convince the American public that he was equal to the formidable demands of the office he is seeking to hold for another term. Voters, however, cannot be expected to ignore what was instead plain to see: Mr. Biden is not the man he was four years ago.

The president appeared on Thursday night as the shadow of a great public servant. He struggled to explain what he would accomplish in a second term. He struggled to respond to Mr. Trump’s provocations. He struggled to hold Mr. Trump accountable for his lies, his failures and his chilling plans. More than once, he struggled to make it to the end of a sentence…
As it stands, the president is engaged in a reckless gamble. There are Democratic leaders better equipped to present clear, compelling and energetic alternatives to a second Trump presidency. There is no reason for the party to risk the stability and security of the country by forcing voters to choose between Mr. Trump’s deficiencies and those of Mr. Biden. It’s too big a bet to simply hope Americans will overlook or discount Mr. Biden’s age and infirmity that they see with their own eyes…

After 40 years, SCOTUS reverses Chevron Doctrine in major blow to Regime overreach

That’s right. The biggest news of the day is NOT Sleepy Joe. Although, I think it is obvious that his long overdue exposure to the general population last night was highly staged by his own party. The time to end the elder abuse is now, even they agree.

Sleepy Joe is only the 3rd headline of the day. The 2nd is SCOTUS striking down the Enron era “obstruction” charges related to J6, which had resulted in the imprisonment of hundreds and hundreds of peaceful protesters. Read about it HERE.

But the real lead headline today is the reversal of Chevron. In the unabashed glory of mid-80s Reaganism, the initial ruling was actually celebrated by conservatives, as it meant the benevolent powers that be could do as they pleased, giving federal agencies the power to interpret law. What could go wrong? How could they not see how this power would later be abused? I am posting from SCOTUSblog.com here… because the other news is blocking out this major story, you may only read about it here…

In a major ruling, the Supreme Court on Friday cut back sharply on the power of federal agencies to interpret the laws they administer and ruled that courts should rely on their own interpretion of ambiguous laws. The decision will likely have far-reaching effects across the country, from environmental regulation to healthcare costs.

By a vote of 6-3, the justices overruled their landmark 1984 decision in Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council, which gave rise to the doctrine known as the Chevron doctrine. Under that doctrine, if Congress has not directly addressed the question at the center of a dispute, a court was required to uphold the agency’s interpretation of the statute as long as it was reasonable. But in a 35-page ruling by Chief Justice John Roberts, the justices rejected that doctrine, calling it “fundamentally misguided.”

Justice Elena Kagan dissented, in an opinion joined by Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson. Kagan predicted that Friday’s ruling “will cause a massive shock to the legal system.”

When the Supreme Court first issued its decision in the Chevron case more than 40 years ago, the decision was not necessarily regarded as a particularly consequential one. But in the years since then, it became one of the most important rulings on federal administrative law, cited by federal courts more than 18,000 times.

Although the Chevron decision – which upheld the Reagan-era Environmental Protection Agency’s interpretation of the Clean Air Act that eased regulation of emissions – was generally hailed by conservatives at the time, the ruling eventually became a target for those seeking to curtail the administrative state, who argued that courts, rather than federal agencies, should say what the law means. The justices had rebuffed earlier requests (including by one of the same lawyers who argued one of the cases here) to consider overruling Chevron before they agreed last year to take up a pair of challenges…

Our Lady of Perpetual Help… “beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army in battle array,” pray for us!

Today’s feast is not on the universal calendar, but we do love her dearly. I received my First Confession and First Holy Communion at OLPH in Ridley Twp PA, in a glorious church built in 1908. It was sadly replaced with a modernist monstrosity on my 14th birthday, and subsequently the original church burnt to the ground some years later. Sad. If you assist at Mass today, it could be a feria, but depending on the Mariology of the priest, you might get this one. Happy feast!

Today is the Traditional Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help which can be said in place of the Feria Mass. In the thirteenth century, a beautiful picture of Our Lady holding the Child Jesus, with the Archangels Michael and Gabriel on either side of her, was painted in the East. In the fifteenth century, this picture was brought from the Island of Crete and was taken to Rome. It was placed in the Church of Saint Matthew in Rome. There, for three hundred years, pilgrims came to reverence and pray before this holy picture, because everyone loved its simplicity, its beauty and its truth. After the French Revolution, when the vicious Napoleon desecrated thirty Catholic Churches in Rome, this precious picture of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was hidden away, but it was rediscovered in 1862. It was then placed in the Church of Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, founder of the Redemptorist Order, in Rome, where it is now kept. The purpose of this lovely picture is by way of simple and innocent symbol to teach us that Our Lady is our help in all things, and our help at all times. Many Catholic churches in all countries are called by the name, Our Lady of Perpetual Help.

INTROIT:
Let us all rejoice in the Lord, celebrating a feast in honor of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary: at whose solemnity the angels rejoice and join in praising the Son of God (Ps. 44: 2) My heart hath uttered a good word; I speak my works to the King. v. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
COLLECT
The Lord be with you. R. And with thy spirit.Let us pray. Almighty and merciful God, Who hast given us a picture of Thy most blessed Mother to venerate under the special title of Perpetual Succor, mercifully grant us to be so fortified, among all the vicissitudes of this wayfaring life, by the protection of the same immaculate, ever Virgin Mary, that we may deserve to attain the rewards of Thine everlasting redemption. Who livest and reignest, with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, Forever and ever.

GRADUAL:
Thou art all lovely and sweet, O daughter of Sion, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army in battle array. V. (Judith 13: 22) The Lord hath blessed thee by His power, because by thee He hath brought to naught our enemies. Alleluia, alleluia. V. (Luke 1: 28) Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women. Alleluia.
SECRET
By Thy clemency, O Lord, and the intercession of blessed Mary, ever a virgin, may this oblation profit us unto eternal and also present well being and peace. Through our Lord Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God
Forever and ever.

SCOTUS, led by the Blessed Coney-Barrett, rules that the Regime can violate First Amendment all it wants

By Brianna Herlihy

The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled in favor of the Biden administration in a challenge to its alleged coordination with social media companies, saying that the states who sued the administration lacked standing.

The case, Murthy v. Missouri, stems from a lawsuit brought by state attorneys general from Missouri and Louisiana that accused high-ranking government officials of working with giant social media companies “under the guise of combating misinformation” that ultimately led to censoring speech on topics that included Hunter Biden’s laptop, COVID-19 origins and the efficacy of face masks.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett, writing for the majority, said the plaintiffs lacked standing to bring their challenge.

“The plaintiffs, without any concrete link between their injuries and the defendants’ conduct, ask us to conduct a review of the years-long communications between dozens of federal officials, across different agencies, with different social-media platforms, about different topics.”

The US supreme court has struck down a lower court ruling in the case of Murthy v Missouri, finding that the government’s communications with social media platforms about Covid-19 misinformation did not violate the first amendment. The court’s decision permits the government to call on tech companies to remove falsehoods and establishes boundaries around free speech online.

The court ruled 6-3 that the plaintiffs had no standing to bring the case against the Biden administration, with conservative justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch dissenting.

“The involvement of the United States, the direct involvement, as a result of which Russian civilians are killed, cannot be without consequences”

Remember, these are our rockets, under our control… they do not work without guidance from our satellites. Period. This is the United States bombing Russia. (Yes, Crimea is Russia). And saying that it was only “debris” that killed the women and children, because the Russians had already intercepted the missiles, is really unhelpful. This happened on Sunday, and there has been no comment from any U.S. official, which is astonishing even for this Regime. -nvp

Russian UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia on the Sevastopol attack: “The fact the US is directly involved in this crime is beyond any doubt. Washington and its allies encouraged their Neo-Nazi puppets in Kyiv to commit terrorist attacks against civilians.”

Russia summoned the U.S. ambassador and vowed retaliation Monday after blaming Washington for a deadly strike on a strategic port in occupied Crimea, claiming U.S.-supplied missiles were used in the attack.

The strike left at least four people dead and more than 150 injured in one of the biggest attacks on the Russian-annexed peninsula in recent months.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said four U.S.-provided Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) rockets, were intercepted over the city of Sevastopol, but fragments from the fifth rocket led to “numerous casualties among civilians” on the ground.

“All flight missions for the American ATACMS operational-tactical missiles are entered by American specialists based on U.S.’ own satellite reconnaissance data,” the ministry said in a statement. “Therefore, responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on civilians in Sevastopol lies primarily with Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, as well as the Kyiv regime, from whose territory this attack was launched.”

Happy Birthday St. John the Baptist: On Fraternal Charity and upholding the sanctity of marriage to the point of death

Originally posted

Today is the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, born without the stain of Original Sin, thanks to the miraculous grace of his gestational Baptism at the moment of the Visitation. When John leaped in the womb of Elizabeth, at the approach of the Blessed Virgin carrying our Lord in her own womb, John was Baptized in his own amniotic fluid. Pretty cool.

That moment of his Baptism, the Visitation, is the Second Joyful Mystery of the Most Holy Rosary. The fruit of the mystery is Fraternal Charity. St. John loved our Lord, and so he loved the law. The two things go together like a horse and carriage; you can’t have one without the other, as the song goes. As the great Forerunner of Christ, John never suffered from mission creep, and his mission was to point to the truth: Point to our Lord, and point to the Law.

For this he would give his life.

The reason for his beheading was his intransigence on the commandments, which he loved dearly, because he loved our Lord. But I repeat myself. The subject matter in this case was the sanctity of marriage. Fraternal Charity is exactly what St. John was practicing when he rebuked Herod over his adulterous sham “marriage.” St. John laid down his life out of love of our Lord, out of love for His law, AND FOR THE SAKE OF HEROD’S SOUL. That’s Fraternal Charity, folks. We would do well to meditate on this, and pray to be given an ounce of his courage. We are going to need it.

St. John the Baptist, pray for us.

At that time, Herod himself had sent and apprehended John, and bound him prison for the sake of Herodias the wife of Philip his brother, because he had married her. For John said to Herod: “It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.” Now Herodias laid snares for him: and was desirous to put him to death and could not. For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a just and holy man: and kept him, and when he heard him, did many things: and he heard him willingly. And when a convenient day was come, Herod made a supper for his birthday, for the princes, and tribunes, and chief men of Galilee. And when the daughter of the same Herodias had come in, and had danced, and pleased Herod, and them that were at table with him, the king said to the damsel: “Ask of me what thou wilt, and I will give it thee.” And he swore to her: “Whatsoever thou shalt ask I will give thee, though it be the half of my kingdom.” Who when she was gone out, said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” But her mother said: “The head of John the Baptist.” And when she was come in immediately with haste to the king, she asked, saying: “I will that forthwith thou give me in a dish, the head of John the Baptist.” And the king was struck sad. Yet because of his oath, and because of them that were with him at table, he would not displease her: But sending an executioner, he commanded that his head should be brought in a dish. And he beheaded him in the prison, and brought his head in a dish: and gave to the damsel, and the damsel gave it her mother. Which his disciples hearing came, and took his body, and laid it in a tomb. -Mark 6:17-29

All they do is lie. So when they don’t, stay frosty.

After seven years of lying, leftist fake news Snopes has now corrected its slander against Trump on the Very Fine People hoax. One suspects there is motive in their timing, since Let’s Go Brandon used this untruth as the central element is his “decision” to run for POTUS, and there just happens to be a debate scheduled for this Thursday. Brandon has cloistered himself at Camp David in preparation. There is wild speculation as to what form this prep is taking, and which drugs will be deployed on Thursday night. I think you would agree, this could go either way, right? If they are going to swap him out, and certainly they are, it wouldn’t take much to have Sleepy Joe crash, burn, and take a powder. -nvp

The left-leaning fact checking website Snopes acknowledged Saturday that former President Trump never called neo-Nazis “very fine people” during his press conference following the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally in 2017.

Critics of Trump have claimed for years that he equated neo-Nazis with counterprotesters following the event.

President Biden was chief among those critics, citing the supposed incident as a main reason for launching his 2020 campaign.

“While Trump did say that there were ‘very fine people on both sides,’ he also specifically noted that he was not talking about neo-Nazis and white supremacists and said they should be ‘condemned totally.’ Therefore, we have rated this claim ‘False,’” Snopes wrote.

The Snopes fact check now aligns with years of arguments from Trump’s camp, who long stated, backed by transcript and video, that his comments were taken out of context.

The fact-checker notes that the false claim about Trump’s comments “spread like wildfire” on the left, eventually being cited as a cornerstone of Biden’s election campaign.
