Brilliant takedown of lurid credentialism and the utter absurdity that results from getting the base premise wrong

(Whooo boy. Here is “Harvey Millican” laying down simple truths, as sometimes us unlettered laynothings have to do, because those tasked with the heavy lifting are crippled in their sloth and effeminacy. Cross-posted with permission. A Mothers Day gift y’all are sure to enjoy. -nvp)

Take Note, Dr. K…

By Harvey Millican

Ladies and gentlemen, this:

…is St. Catherine of Siena.

St. Catherine held no degrees. She spoke boldly to cardinals and to the pope. She proclaimed an unpopular truth in the midst of a political and ecclesiastical firestorm. She was, of course, totally right.

She is a Doctor of the Church.

Recently, Peter Kwasniewski posted something to a social media page (brought to my attention by my sister since I’m not on any of that) stating that he had received much interest from people wishing to add their signatures to a petition that he and others have begun circulating. The petition or letter or whatever it is relies on the false-base premise that Jorge Bergoglio is now or ever was the Roman Pontiff.

What is laughable is that Dr. K. states in his post that only “credentialed” individuals (and even then only those whom he will thoroughly vet) need apply to sign the document. So only those chosen elites in the “club” are smart enough to make this kind of a call…

And that document…

The amount of mental gymnastics one has to perform in order to fail to see the obvious (he’s an antipope usurper) and then bend over backwards so far as to reach the conclusion that he’s a pope but a heretic; and that laymen can force his resignation leads to a medical condition known as Colo-cranial Syndrome. This is a malady wherein one’s head is literally up one’s ass.

But should I expect anything more from someone who places such a high value on a piece of paper hanging on his wall? As a very wise man once told me, “Rectal thermometers also have lots of degrees on them and we know where they end up.”

St. Catherine of Siena, pray for us!

  1. My credentials: I have been ticked off for 55 years. But Dr. K. can get a million “credentialed” people and Rome will still ignore his petition.

  2. As I recall, the terminology for Peter K’s condition is “Rectal-Cranial Inversion.” “Colo-Syndrome” is, perhaps, the shorthand version.

  3. There’s something about the intransigence of Dr K, Cardinal Burke, Bishop Schneider, John Henry Westin and other learned men that is totally befuddling. Bergoglio and his malice, his hatred for the Church, his heresies and his vulgarities are glaring signs he is not the pope. Are they uncurious about the faux resignation of Pope Benedict? Lord have mercy and bring an end to these dark days!

    1. I know for a fact that all four men you mentioned are WELL AWARE of the facts surrounding Pope Benedict’s invalid resignation. Dr. K went so far as to publish a review of the Socci book, stating that he was convinced of the evidence. It’s all so maddening.

      1. And then edited the review close to a dozen times in a couple of hours, until the final version said pretty close to the opposite of what he’d originally written.

I’d love to know who was on the other end of the phone calls Dr. K was getting that night.

  4. Why don’t they see a problem with calling Peter’s rock like successor a heretic who is destroying the Chuch? Is it because they are not converts? One of the reasons given for having a pope is to not be lead astray. If that is not true, isn’t the papacy a human invention since Jesus called Simon Peter, which means rock, in Matthew 16:18?

  5. “Credentialism” fake and gay. But this theory of Benedict’s invalid resignation isn’t particularly new, and I wouldn’t even call it a “theory”, I’d say it’s a fact. Why is it taking so long to get any traction?

  6. Lol San Andreas comment is a sick burn and mostly what will happen. Sounds like some fed stuff to me. “Submit all your information.” How bout No.

    1. Here a revealing quote from Burke. He doesn’t say Francis IS an antipope, but he does set out a scenario in which it is possible:

Patrick Coffin on his YouTube show asked Cardinal Raymond Burke:

“I was wondering rather if those rules [of the 2013 conclave that elected Francis] were violated and rather or not the whole election of Francis may be invalid. Is there any foundation for that speculation?”

      Cardinal Burke answered:

“The only grounds that could be used for calling into question the validity of the election would be were the election organized by a campaign beforehand which is strictly forbidden and that would be difficult to demonstrate…”

“… If these persons [the St. Gallen Mafia of liberal cardinals] engaged in a active campaign first to undermined Pope Benedict XVI and at the same time to engineer the election of someone [Francis] then that could be a argument. I don’t think I have the facts, and there have to be facts, to prove that. That’s all I have to say about that.”
(Patrick Coffin show, “141: Dubia Cardinal Goes on the Record – Raymond Cardinal Burke (Free Version),”

Of course Burke knows that where there is a confession, a trial is not needed. And he knows many of the St Gallen Mafia couldn’t help themselves and boasted about what they did publicly. So what he needs is not facts, but holy courage.

  7. Catherine of Sienna was also a saint. Sin makes us blind and stupid. How did things used to work between the rank and file Catholics and the hierarchy when we had Christendom.

  8. Well to be fair to Dr K, he would probably allow St Catherine to sign posthumously, given her status as Doctor of the Church…

  9. Louie Verrichio sums up the contradictions of the statement well:

It is maddening that the signatorees and authors miss the obviousness of what they admit.

If Francis is a legitimate Pope, they are setting a VERY BAD precedent demanding a Pope resign because people are mad at his decisions, even scandals. Little doubt the liberal modernists would love that!

But if Francis is a manifestly public obstinate heretic imposing heresy and encouraging sin and sacrilege, then he is not a Pope any longer, if at all, and they only need to go straight to demanding that the Cardinals act on that fact.

The truth is that the signatorees know the Cardinals are compromised and/or weak, so they are literally begging Bergoglio to do them all a favor and resign, so that their duty won’t be too hard. They want easy convenience!

They might as well write letters to every Democrat politician running for election and ask them to do them a solid favor and retire/resign, so that the Republicans can save effort and money and simply walk into office by default. Wouldn’t that be nice?

  11. So, Fr. Spirago’s “The Catechism Explained” explains that the Holy Ghost provides the Supernatural Gifts of Wisdom, Understanding, and Knowledge. How does he explain them? 1) without any need for special study, only reliance on the Holy Ghost, will lead a devout soul to value salvation over everything else, 2) with the Holy Ghost, one can see things clearly, and discern Truth from error, and 3) with the Holy Ghost, one can have knowledge of the Faith that supercedes one’s ability to learn. What is NOT essential is academic learning, degrees, or massive amounts of reading (though they help).

Anyone who strives to know, love, and serve God with an open heart can see that Jorge Bergoglio is not now, nor has he ever been anywhere associated with the Holy Roman Pontiff.

  12. Data Points:

Pope St Agatho iat the Third Council of Constantinople said no pope has ever erred (on faith and morals), and thus he is not capable of it.

St Robert Bellarmine said the same some 1,000 years later.

Cdl Purcell at the First Vatican Council in 1864 said the same, that no pope had to that day erred in faith and morals, and thus it was impossible that a pope could do so.

“The question was also raised by a Cardinal,”What is to be done with the pope if he becomes a heretic?’ It was answered that there has never been such a case; the coincil of Bishops could depose him for heresy, for from the moment he becomes a heretic he is not the head or even a member of the Church…he would cease to be Pope, being disposed by God Himself.” ~The Life and Work of Pope Leo XIII, chapter on The Vatican Council
