‘FEMA continues to tell Governor DeWine that Ohio is not eligible for assistance,’ governor’s office says
The Biden administration turned down a request for federal disaster assistance from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine in the aftermath of the train derailment in the state earlier this month that led to a large release of toxic chemicals.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) told Ohio’s state government that it was not eligible for disaster assistance to help the community recoverfrom the toxic spill, Dan Tierney, a spokesperson for DeWine, told Fox News Digital on Thursday. Tierney explained that FEMA believed the incident didn’t qualify as a traditional disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, for which it usually provides assistance.
“The DeWine Administration has been in daily contact with FEMA to discuss the need for federal support, however FEMA continues to tell Governor DeWine that Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time,” DeWine’s office said in a statement earlier in the day. “Governor DeWine will continue working with FEMA to determine what assistance can be provided.”
FEMA said that its team is in constant communication with DeWine’s office, but didn’t comment on the request for federal relief…
The EPA is awful, but they didn’t create this disaster. Mike DeWine did. He created a disaster and then begs for emergency relief. What a guy.
After DeWine nuked East Palestine, not sure what the EPA could do except test (which they’re actually doing now). FEMA isn’t helping because this area voted or Trump, and Biden is 100% lapsed Catholic evil.
DeWine is also an enthusiastic WW3 in Ukraine supporter.
Just evil all around.
Every single American needs to look at this disaster and first of all pray for the people of that area, and second realize that they don’t give a damn about those Americans, and they wouldn’t give a damn about you or me either. Why…why…vote for people who could absolutely care less about you, no, go out of their way. God deliver us.

Apparently FEMA changed its’ mind when Trump announced he was going to visit. That county voted 70+% for Trump. I’m not a Trump fan but it does make one suspicious as to why FEMA wasn’t assisting, but now is.
Hasn’t anyone heard? Shortly after Trump said he was going to visit the site, FEMA changed their mind and will now assist. A coincidence I’m sure…
