Urgent warning: THIS is what happens when men love their wives and raise their sons. THIS is what Antipope Bergoglio and the Antichurch literally want to wipe from the face of the Earth.

Crosspost from AB.

Shut up. I ain’t cryin’. You cryin’.

(In all seriousness, I would strongly encourage my secular and non-Catholic readership to post this. You don’t really need to comment, other than maybe to point out that this is Traditional Latin Mass – not “mainstream” or even “conservative” (shudder) – Catholicism. THIS is what we need to be driving back towards – a grown heterosexual man sobbing in gratitude that his legitimate son will call down and hold the physical and substantial Real Presence of God in his hands, and raise the dead back to life in the Sacrament of Confession as the vicarious representative of Christ, and do it in full piety, not as an infiltrator. This is the ultimate accomplishment for a husband and father. Señor Cortes did good, and he WON. He won BIG.)

    1. Boy, you sure are a buzz kill here Deborah. Maybe they could have no more children. That makes the gift of their son in the service of the Lord all the more poignant and sacrificial.
Should they have discouraged him if he was an only child.?

      1. Amen, Red Feather! We are sorely in need of good, Catholic priests, not members of the lavender mafiosi. There was a time when all Catholic mothers prayed for a son who would be a priest.

      2. Maybe he should not have become a priest if he was an only child. I would be devastated if an only son became a priest. I would cry.

    2. Interesting comment, honest, (in honest, I have to admit thoughts like that – improperly – have crossed my own mind, in ref to my children) and so it got me thinking.
My SSPX Priest just conducted a class for those married but had not had marriage instruction from an SSPX Priest. The classes were packed to the doors (closed and locked). The key takeaway – the purpose of marriage is not what most suppose; it is not relational between spouses for their happiness and fulfillment; it *is* to produce, raise, and educate children … *for the kingdom of God*. All four together at the same time. THEN, distant second, comes relational aspects of marriage.
      “For the Kingdom of God”.
None of us get to to the Kingdom of God without Priests. It is hard to get there with bad Priests; almost impossible with no Priests.
And so we raise children in union with Holy Mother Church, visibly led by our Fathers of the Apostolic Line. We married produce children, by the grace of God, educate them and prepare the ground of their spirits to receive the Gospel, love the Gospel and get to heaven. The Church tills the ground, waters it and harvests the crop because without these Priests – our children are most likely doomed.
There has been a long process in gaining the wisdom of understanding the purpose of marriage and he purpose of all the time invested in raising children. That process has been greatly aided by being tapped into Sacred Tradition through these holy Priests of the Traditional Orders. For instance, the source information in our “marriage class” is only available in Latin – the Church does not allow Faithful to read it, except in the original Latin to prevent misinterpretation. And so, the Priest takes on a crucial, crucial role in …. “producing kids and grandkids”, as you say.
We are all in this together.

  1. Alternate headline: “ THIS is what happens when a wife is discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to her husband…” Titus 2:5

    1. Luke. Thanks for noticing this. So often missed – a functioning family depends on man *and* wife; both encouraged by culture to deform and degrade their natural, existential God-given roles.
Marriage is a a partnership, as is raising children.
Men need to step up their game, no doubt. It is good to step up against the surrounding culture and live as men of God in our homes. It is not healthy, ultimately it’s fatal, if we don’t recognize the importance of the other side of the marriage union and the equivalent cultural pressures on women to act out in worldly ways not pleasing to God, damaging to the marriage and harmful to the raising and educating of our children. It is degrading to women to not notice their crucial God-given role in the Catholic family.
Men: “Love their wives and raise their sons”. (AB)
Women: Be “discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to her husband”. (Luke)

    2. No grandchildren is what happens? Then wives need traditional feminism. I would cry forever if an only son did not have children.
