Ex-CDC Director Redfield thinks the corona did in fact “escape” from the Wuhan lab after all!

By Zachary Basu

Former CDC Director Robert Redfield told CNN on Friday that he believes the coronavirus “escaped” from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and that it was spreading as early as September or October of 2019 — though he stressed that it was his “opinion.”

Why it matters: It’s a stunning assertion, offered with little evidence, by the man who led the U.S. government’s public health agency from the time the virus was first detected in Wuhan through the entirety of the Trump administration’s response.

The big picture: The debate over the origins of the coronavirus has been ongoing since the start of the pandemic, causing rising tensions between the U.S. and China — especially during the presidency of Donald Trump, who frequently accused the Chinese government of “unleashing” a “plague” on the world.

  • The Wuhan Institute of Virology is the only facility in China permitted to handle the most dangerous known pathogens, and is located just under nine miles from the wet market where some scientists say the outbreak may have originated.
  • A World Health Organization team that traveled to Wuhan to investigate the origins of COVID-19 said it is “extremely unlikely” the virus came from a laboratory accident, and that it most likely jumped to humans via an intermediate species.
  • However, China refused to provide the WHO team with raw data about the first cases detected in Wuhan, leading the Biden administration to issue a statement expressing “deep concerns” about the investigation and demanding transparency from Beijing.

What they’re saying: “I’m of the point of view that I still think the most likely etiology of this pathology in Wuhan was from a laboratory. Escaped. Other people don’t believe that. That’s fine. Science will eventually figure it out,” Redfield told CNN’s Sanjay Gupta.

  • “It’s not unusual for respiratory pathogens that are being worked on in a laboratory to infect the laboratory worker. … That’s not implying any intentionality. It’s my opinion, right? But I am a virologist. I have spent my life in virology,” he continued.
  • “I do not believe this somehow came from a bat to a human and at that moment in time that the virus came to the human, became one of the most infectious viruses that we know in humanity for human-to-human transmission.”

Between the lines: Lab accidents in the U.S. are not especially rare, as USA Today’s Alison Young noted in a recent opinion piece arguing why the Wuhan lab theory cannot be ruled out. The CDC itself experienced a possible contamination in a lab where it was making COVID-19 test kits early in the pandemic.

What to watch: The WHO team is expected to soon publish a 300-page final report on its investigation, after scrapping plans for an interim report amid mounting tensions between the U.S. and China.

  1. So these creeps (Fauci, Birx et al) are lying about everything from the actual sequence of the virus to fatality/mortality rates, masking/ social distancing and were supposed to believe that this guys really “believes” that the fake SARS COV2 virus escaped from a lab in China? Mark, let’s just take a step back and use some logic. This is not a stunning admission, this is a lie just like everything else about covid.

    1. and for heaven’s sake…OF COURSE it came from the lab….we have masses of evidence on this; Fauci funded it; it’s sequence isn’t natural and has pieces of HIV spliced in (it’s a CRISPR chimera); bill gates-of-hell did his coronascam event a year prior; china and their lapdog WHO keep denying it while allowing NO investigators in, and on and freakin’ on. Redfield was Trump’s guy…he’s looking for the truth here.

Wake up….the ‘vaccines’ (that aren’t) weren’t made for ‘covid’; ‘covid’ was made for the ‘vaccines’.

  2. I don’t believe we should swallow the ‘lab escape’ narrative any more than any of the others. Conspirators always like to create false leads.

The lab story has a very cliche Hollywood air to it. We now know that Covid 19 symptoms are no different from the rest. And it should be noted that they are using a bait’n’switch with SARS COV 2, which is distinct from Covid 19. SarsCov2 is the virus they want you to fear. Covid 19 are this year’s symptoms, which are attributable to anything. And SARS COV 2 so far only exists on paper. No one has independently isolated the virus. No virus, no antigen to make any vaccine. Therefore mRNA shots to tell your body to make the deadly concoction or something like it. And even then they are only claiming to alleviate the symptoms of Covid 19 specifically which are symptoms. NOT SARS COV 2, which they don’t have anything to go on.

We know China was putting out fake sick people videos. We know the effect such Hollywood theatrics have on impressionable people raised on zombie entertainment. There is also the curious story that China suspected that the US set something loose during their coordinated war games. A story where apparently 2 US servicemen were hospitalized for… malaria treatment… Guess what drug is commonly used for treating malaria? But we have no further details as no one thought anything at the time. Not to mention that everyone from Fauci to numerous Western institutions have ties to the Wuhan lab where this allegedly came from.

My guess is that all this is globalist stage theater. They capitalized on the usual flu season the moment something new naturally sprung up requiring new hcq and zinc treatments that occurred months prior to the doomsday news cycle and this virus escape narrative was manufactured where this new alien Frankenstein thing escaped from a secret underground lab in the land of Mordor and started affecting people in ways that could be conveniently solved through all the same climate scam depopulation and surveillance solutions.

    Trust none of it.
