13 KIA 26 August 2021. Biden’s “signature moment” desiring to be the one to withdrawal from Afghanistan in haste, leaving it in Taliban hands, but ISIS had other plans (and we knew it). It didn’t need to end this way.

Taliban was in power when we got there, Taliban was in power when we left.
Afghanistan was an unjust war. Our goal should’ve been to kill OBL, not turn Afghanistan into Sweden. But the MIC and the Neocons saw enormous potential for profit and power.
When Trump decided to let the Taliban rule and keep Bagram that was probably the best case scenario to end a shameful war.
Biden’s actions on Abbey Gate mirror Obama’s actions when we left Iraq. Bedlam, just get out, and screw the aftermath. This probably because Obama sycophant Susan Rice was in the Biden Administration at the time.
It was Abbey Gate that should’ve made the US government resolve to stay out of the Middle East and stay out of unjust wars. But Biden and now Trump are funding a genocide in Gaza, another war in Iran, and a catastrophe in Ukraine.
One day not far off the US will get put in its place, either by economic collapse, nuclear attack, or the Chinese. Or all three. Our AIPAC funded, MIC controlled government cannot be reasoned with.
Thanks, Mark, for the reminder. We live near where one of the young men did. There is a banner with his picture and name on it at a busy intersection in the municipality he was from that often has decorations on it, like red, white and blue pin wheels, etc.I often think of what a waste of that young man’s life that fiasco was, and how unnecessary their deaths. Eternal rest grant unto all of them, Oh, Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
