On third attempt to spin splain the JHW sabbatical, Jalsevac spills the beans

He begins with a laundry list of splainer platitudes, until he finally gets to the unforgivable sin:

“LifeSite has been widely viewed as a sedavacatist website”

John-Henry had been speaking way too much truth. Visible, obvious truths, that any honest person can see. Truths about purported popes. This was too much for the compromised “board of directors” and Steve Jalsevac, and whomever else their handlers might be.

  1. Sorry, but having read different statements from all sides, it’s clear that the issue is mission creep & how big donors (money) feel about mission creep.

John-Henry Westin is great and I’m sorry to see him go, except, organizationally it makes sense.

LifeSiteNews was, apparently, or we are told, founded to be non-denominationally pro-Life. That is, it was certainly founded to include Protestants, Americans, and Vatican-II or “Fwancis” Catholics.

John-Henry Westin is great and I’m sorry to see him go, except, as a strong Catholic, was he ever a good fit, for an organization that was foundationally meant to be milquetoast & “Big Tent”?

It would be interesting to hear his view. I bet that, within a week, he will be happy he’s gone & will have moved on to something better.

It’s one of those things like “Yes my friend betrayed me – Oh wait – were they ever really my friend, then? so, isn’t this good?”

      1. I agree with you and Kenedy Hall also gave a really great analysis of LSN and similar orgs on Joe Mcclane in the wake of this news. JHW is a great guy but he wasn’t aligned with LSNs mission and readership had dropped drastically. He can now go on to do his own thing with a greater focus. Unfortunately, there are individuals who seem to want create a narrative that puts Pope Leo at the center of whatever narratives they’ve created in their heads, without any primary sources in this case. Never mind that Bishop Strickland already gave us a defense of LSN. No, it’s all to do with Prevost…for these people.

    1. The problem with anyone in the business of covering and promoting what is moral and Truthful is…

That the closer you get to the Truth, and the greater the justifications required to logically explain defend all that is moral…

The closer to Catholicism you come, and the narrower the path gets towards the good.

So for LifeSiteNews’ mission, the creeping towards Catholicism is inherently UNAVOIDABLE.

If they choose to always be neutering themselves right on the cusp of the obvious, they will never ever cross the bridge leading to victory.

It’s always an all or nothing proposition.

LifeSiteNews has ironically chosen sterility, much the same for Conservatism as a whole. We now know where their ceilings are. The enemy will exploit this by flying above them.

  2. So – can the “sides” in this thing be used as a litmus test, for who is “Trad Inc” or “Catholic Inc”? Some might be unhappy with the effect.

Timothy Gordon, Steve Bannon & Jack Posobiec look like they might be lining up behind John-Henry. Taylor Marshall can’t be far behind.

3 of those 4 at least, are Trumpsters. Did I just wreck it for people? Pointing out that the pro-Trump Catholics love John-Henry? 🙂

  3. “That is just what John-Henry may have wanted many to believe.”

That is a very catty comment by Steve Jalsevak. It is something a diabolical narcissist would say. You can tell he is seething with hatred towards the virtuous Catholic John-Henry Westen.

Everybody knows that the readership of LifeSiteNews was artificially inflated in 2021 because of the scamdemic, and many Protestants were coming to the website to get information about the dangerous mRNA vaccines, something they were not getting on Fox News. Once the scamdemic blew over, they no longer came back to LifeSiteNews. So of course the readership would have gone down somewhat. I doubt that it has gone down as much as he is pretending. And why didn’t they get rid of him earlier if that were the case?

He pretends to be concerned that they were receiving large donations, a/k/a bribes, by certain donors, and recently these mysterious donors threatened to withhold funding if they did not get rid of John-Henry Westen. Who are they? The CIA? Chinese? Are they threatened that their plan to install apostate antipopes (the fulfillment of the 1846 La Salette prophecy) in an anti-Church aping the real Church was being exposed by John-Henry Westen?

  4. More.

Some have said that the emphasis on website traffic only accounting for 2021-2024 is suspicious.

When our governments locked up everyone during the covid-hoax years, EVERY online website and business grew tremendously, and then saw natural rapid declines once it ended. Was this factored in? What was LifeSiteNews traffic like prior to covid-hoax? And considering they were one of very few outlets openly critical of and investigating and documenting the scam, why wouldn’t many non-Catholics come to it, then leave afterwards?

  5. I hate comparing Catholicism to American freemasonic politics but this has to be said…

This entire LifeSiteNews saga this week reminds me of the years I wasted in the Republican Party, campaigning for “conservative candidates.” Every election year, a few good “conservatives” would emerge. I and many, many others got behind them, raised funds for them and sometimes, got them elected… and then the same old pattern took place right away.

Once in office, the RINOs in charge of the budgets asserted themselves and the next thing you know, our “conservatives” were making deals so John Boehnner and Paul Ryan could give Obama whatever he wanted. So what does that have to do with LifeSiteNews?

LifeSiteNews started off as a good, solid Catholic media site. It grew thanks to donor$ and unfortunately mega donor$$$ who became their board members. And now, just like EWTN post Mother Angelica, it’s over. It’s going to die a slow death. This is intentional. The donor class HATES Traditional Catholics and the Catholic Church’s Teachings. Just like rich, country club republicans hate the pro-life “hicks” in the Republican Party. Remember John McCain and Mitt Romney pretending to run for president, slapping down their supporters who criticized Obama? Yeah, same as the LSN board members who didn’t like Westen criticizing antipope Prevost. Oh yes, I did just say that.
