Last week, we reported that Ford was canceling its plans for a three-row electric crossover as part of an adjustment to its electric strategy because of cooling demand for EVs. Now we are getting a better look at just how much that strategy is changing and what it’ll end up costing The Blue Oval. Chiefly, Ford is expected to take on $1.9 billion in related charges and write-downs.
The cancelation of this three-row EV comes after Ford said in the Spring that it would be delaying plans for the model by two years to 2027. It also comes during mounting pressure to restore aggressive discounts to get their current EVs off dealer lots…
It means Americans don’t want to buy EVs. Ford is a truck company. The F-150 is the most popular car in America (all cars). EVs are inefficient, heavy, and because of the laws of thermodynamics, can never outperform the ICE.
The free market will always prevail in making the best, most efficient decisions for individuals and for society.
As economist Milton Friedman puts it (in summary): “ … government should have limited involvement in free-market activities; the best outcomes result when markets freely allocate resources in an economy”.
If the market wants electric vehicles, for whatever reason, the free market will produce cool electric vehicles.
If the government demands everyone drive electric vehicles for political reasons, and forces manufacturers and consumers into a political box, resources will be wasted and bankruptcy will destroy companies and individuals forced into the unwanted and unachievable outcome.
I read that South Korea is developing a breakthrough battery technology, that charges quickly and has a 700 mile range.
https://www.independent.co.uk/tech/sodium-battery-charging-fast-south-korea-b2533702.html#
Tech achievements are great, but they are only possible under the framework of freedom.
Fast charging doesn’t matter. The flaw of any battery is that it’s contains far less potential energy in a much larger space than gasoline. And ranges on EVs are always absurd, way below the claims. Also Sodium batteries are more unstable than lithium (ponder that ) and have a much shorter life, which will also add to the environmental carnage EVs cause.
So, this “breakthrough” isn’t really a breakthrough. Batteries still operate the same way. You may be able to charge faster, but in the end you’re going to have more environmental pollution, more spontaneous combustion, heavier cars that tear up roads, and no practical commercial use for them.
😩
“Read the highlighted part, and the last paragraph. I wonder why we are being allowed to witness this.”
Because the sleazy Democrats are doing a 180 degree shift. They are now going to run as the party that is against crime and censoring. They are getting ready to blame (rightly) the Trump administration as well as the Biden administration.
My guess is because it was actually the Trump Administration that started the pressure to censor anything critical of the CoVid policies of Fauci and Birx. The Trump administration even sent Birx to Alabama to thank the RINO Governor Kay Ivey for her statewide mask mandate:

Alabama is still reeling economically from Governor Ivey’s draconian lockdowns and constant pushing of the death jab.
The Democrats are soon going to be blaming the Trump administration for the government censoring, just as they are now blaming the Trump administration for the homeless crisis and all the crime that increased when the Trump administration released all the black criminals from jail. Ever since President Trump signed the First Step Act bill into law, crime skyrocketed in Alabama:

Catholics need to be realists. The freemason President Trump is not going to save America.
Please pray for my Son-in-law, who works on the electric F-150 as an engineer. Wife is carrying grandbaby #3 in 5 years of marriage.
