Folks, may I ask a small Advent wish? If you find any value in this blog, please consider returning some value to these fine sisters on my behalf. Year-end tax benefits included at no extra charge. May God reward you!
“Dear Families and Friends, As 2021 draws to a close we would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your prayers and financial support this past year and also inform you, our beloved benefactors, of additional ways in which you can contribute to the construction of our monastery. In addition to accepting contributions of cash, we are able to accept contributions of appreciated securities in the form of stocks, bonds, ETFs and mutual funds.Donations of appreciated securities can be one of the most tax-efficient ways to maximize your charitable giving. It is our hope that we will be able to minimize the overall cost of construction by increasing the rate at which construction takes place on a monthly basis. In expectation of this increased pace of construction, we are presently faced with an enormous fund-raising challenge. If your end of year tax planning includes making charitable gifts of appreciated stocks, or alternatively making qualified charitable donations from an IRA, using donor advised funds and or estate planning and bequest please consider including us as one of your designated religious charities.May God reward you for all that you do for us and for the Church at large. You are always in my prayers!May you have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!In the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Catherine Bauer” |
Wishing you a holy second Sunday of Advent and the blessings of the Infant Jesus at Christmas, Mother Stella-Marie of Jesus and the Community of the Carmel of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph |
In sadder news, at least so it would seem… I don’t have any inside skinny on this, so I’ll just post the letter:
You are doing God’s work here, Mark.
I will definitely participate with this generous donor.
We will emerge from this trauma one day and the memory of it will be a revival of the Faith for many years to come.
Done. Thanks for posting Mark. When I get back to work I hope to do more.
These are beautiful people. I asked the Mother Superior for a request and it was granted. We are grateful for any assistance from the Carmelite Nuns in Fairfield. They will continue to get our support, as we have cut the N.O. parish out from our funds. We are now a remnant from that society catacomb in the country. The Nuns now receive the benefits. We are much appreciative to them and hope to meet them in the after life.
Blessings on all today.
Thank you.
Another donation proudly made. Thank you Mark for this post.
Thank you for bringing us this wonderful opportunity to help this cause. God bless!
