178 hospital workers in Texas suspended for refusing to get vaxxed

By Joshua Rhett Miller

A Houston-based hospital system has suspended 178 employees without pay for two weeks for refusing to get the coronavirus vaccine, according to reports.

Houston Methodist CEO Marc Boom wrote in an internal message obtained by the Washington Post Tuesday that nearly 25,000 of the health care system’s employees were fully vaccinated by Monday’s deadline — but some chose not to comply.

“Of these employees, 27 have received one dose of vaccine, so I am hopeful they will get their second doses soon,” Boom wrote. “I know that today may be difficult for some who are sad about losing a colleague who’s decided to not get vaccinated. We only wish them well and thank them for their past service to our community, and we must respect the decision they made.”

“No one should be forced to put something into their body if they’re not comfortable with it,” said Jennifer Bridges, a Houston Methodist nurse of six-plus years who has long opposed the policy. Bridges told the Washington Post in May she has objected to getting the shot because vaccines authorized for emergency use nationwide have not been “fully” approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

“I’m not anti-vaccine,” Bridge said last month. “I’ve had every vaccine known to man, except this one. As nurses and medical staff, everybody feels like you should have a right to choose what you put in your body.”

  1. We know this is the new modus operendi of many corporations, but it is still startling and unsettling to read about. Our world has gone mad. Lord, have mercy on us! Lord, shelter your lambs from the ravening wolves.

    1. You are absolutely correct….as has been pointed out in Mark’s “blog” this is a “take no prisoners”, “zero sum” 5th generation, unconventional warfare…..and the terrain is human.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen was directly “on point” with this commentary:

“If He is what He claimed to be, a Savior, a Redeemer, then we have a virile Christ and a leader worth following in these terrible times; One Who will step into the breach of death, crushing sin, gloom and despair; a leader to Whom we can make totalitarian sacrifice without losing, but gaining freedom, and Whom we can love even unto death. We need a Christ today Who will make cords and drive the buyers and sellers from our new temples; Who will blast the unfruitful fig tree; Who will talk of crosses and sacrifices and Whose voice will be like the voice of the raging sea. But He will not allow us to pick and choose among His words, discarding the hard ones, and accepting the ones that please our fancy. We need a Christ Who will restore moral indignation, Who will make us hate evil with a passionate intensity, and love goodness to a point where we can drink death like water.”

      To quote Annie Barnhardt…”stay frosty.”
