TOLDYA: GOP Elector from TX will not vote Trump, writes NYT op-ed pleading with other Electors to join him

It’s not going away, folks.
On the bright side, now that NYT is officially in the game, maybe people will start to wake up.  HERE

“The election of the next president is not yet a done deal. Electors of conscience can still do the right thing for the good of the country. Presidential electors have the legal right and a constitutional duty to vote their conscience.”

Are you ready for a little chaos? Are you prepared?

  1. From what I understand, the elector also resigned his position as elector, so I assume he will be replaced by someone who would vote for Trump. Anyhoo, I am beginning to think this is all theatre in order to boost news ratings between election day and the electoral college vote.

  2. I just don’t know what would happen. Trump seems to be walking things back (in particular, the Hildebeast prosecutions), so I don’t know if enough folks would get worked up about it if he were not elected. If the electors picked Hildebeast, perhaps. If they picked Pence, I don’t see much happening. Even if they picked Hildebeast, what would the Trumpers do? An all out civil war is not likely, and not really winnable. Unlike Hildebeasters, Trumpers don’t seem to go for violent demonstrations. If the Hildebeasters bring it to the Trumpers directly, then yes, they would fight back – directly – but I just don’t see that happening. The Hildebeasters would be too busy destroying their own communities in celebration, or popping fair trade sparkling grape juice corks in their safe spaces and merrily prancing off the cliff with her.
The smartest strategy would be to say nothing, do nothing and simply go John Galt. Learn Spanish and move to Chile – decent economy, mineral rich, and nice wines.
