Butler, one year later: No arrests, no firings, no answers

Secret Service’s ‘cascade of failures’ allowed Trump assassination attempt, report says

Highly critical Senate committee report calls for severe disciplinary action against Secret Service in the future

A new Senate committee report on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year, described the events as a “cascade of preventable failures” and called for more severe disciplinary action to be taken with the Secret Service in the future.

In the 31-page, highly critical findings released on Sunday, the Senate homeland security and governmental affairs committee lamented the mishandling of communications around the rally and said Trump was denied extra security on the day.

“A 20-year-old gunman was able to evade detection by the country’s top protective agency for nearly 45 minutes,” the committee stated, adding that “not a single person has been fired”.

The publication of the report comes exactly a year after the attempted assassination of Trump, when he was wounded after a bullet grazed his ear on 13 July 2024. One rally-goer, Corey Comperatore, was killed before the shooter, a 20-year-old nursing-home worker from Pennsylvania named Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot dead by a Secret Service agent. Crooks scaled a building overlooking the rally and opened fire using an AR015-style rifle.

The image of Trump defiantly raising his fist in the immediate aftermath of the attack became a political touchstone, helping push Joe Biden out of the race and fuelling support around his presidency in a heightened, accelerated manner.

The committee behind this latest report, chaired by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, conducted 17 interviews with members of the Secret Service and reviewed thousands of legal documents before it reached its conclusion. While it offers no new information on Crooks’s motives, which are still ambiguous almost a year on, it does shine light on the supposed disorganization and disarray of the security agency as the assassination unfolded.

The investigators found that the Secret Service “denied or left unfulfilled” multiple requests for additional staff and assets, and despite acknowledgements of vulnerabilities at the venue, assigned an inexperienced operator to oversee operations.

“What happened was inexcusable,” the committee stated, adding that “the consequences imposed for the failures so far do not reflect the severity of the situation.”

Six Secret Service agents have since been suspended without pay after the events last July. Their suspensions range from 10 to 42 days, with a loss of both salary and benefits during their absence.

This disciplinary action comes nearly a year after the shooting. The agency’s deputy director, Matt Quinn, told CBS News that the Secret Service would not “fire our way out of this” crisis.

  1. I just don’t care. Trump is a psychopath and a pedophile and he was targeted by another group of psychopaths and pedophiles. And this evil SOB had the audacity to then embrace and promote the message that he was from God.

Indeed I want to call it theater, but I don’t know how they would’ve accomplished that. My current theory is that it was a warning from Mossad. Because not long after this Trump met with Netanyahu and suddenly he was flush with Zionist cash.

I have said for years that Trump is a deeply evil man and I still get resistance. If the Epstein cover up isn’t the icing on the cake what will it take?

I truly believe if a video came out from Epstein Island of Trump with a minor some would dismiss it as AI.

Anyway, Trump has done more to hurt the country in 5 months than Biden did in 4 years. And when Asia starts dumping US treasuries in August, buckle up.

    1. The ” assassination attempt” was entirely staged—no question about it.

Speak with any sniper or ballistics expert.

No sniper, even a mediocre sniper ( if one should exist) would have missed at that short range.

No sniper, even the most expert/accomplished, would have taken that shot expecting to just graze the ear – no way possible to make that guarantee.

If the bullet was a 308/762 it was supersonic

Yes, a standard .308 / 7.62 cartridge is designed to be supersonic.

The standard .308 Winchester cartridge, for example, typically achieves muzzle velocities well above the speed of sound (approximately 1,125 feet per second or 343 meters per second at sea level). Subsonic .308 rounds are specifically loaded to stay below this threshold, primarily for use with suppressors

Yes, 5.56/.223 rounds are typically supersonic, meaning they travel faster than the speed of sound (approximately 1,125 feet per second). Most factory-loaded 5.56 and .223 ammunition with standard bullet weights (55-62 grains) will achieve muzzle velocities well above this threshold, typically ranging from 2,700 to 3,300 feet per second.

The assassin’s (s”) bullet, travelling greater than Mach 1, passing so close to the Trumpster’s ( aka kayfabe king) ear would have blown out his eardrum – no way would he have been on the stage the next day shaking his clenched fist and touting his invincibility.

Close your eyes, let your mind roam, and pretend the “assassination attempt” was staged; where does that take you?

Do you really think the ” blood” on his shirt was from an “ear wound?”

      1. The civilian killed in the crossfire is the big stumbling block for most people. Saying Trump’s Miracle Ear and his Iwo Jima moment were staged is one thing. Calling a murdered fireman/hero a fake is something else entirely, and it makes people feel ghoulish.

(Which is exactly why you’d fake that, too… but I digress.)

  2. Attempt on Trump happened on July 13, a Fatima apparition anniversary. At 6:11 pm.

Ephesians 6:11 (“Put on the armor of God/spiritual warfare/the devil is our true enemy.”)

The 12 Day War started on June 13, another Fatima apparition anniversary.

  3. The American system continues as usual. Forget it folks, Trump was the last attempt at “democratically” and “procedurally” preventing the inevitable.

Conservative Inc. knows it, and have already set forth their campaign slogan –

“Well, at least we’re not the Democrats, they’re worse!”

“Are you really gonna let this Epstein thing set us all back?”

That’s right folks, let the pedos and Israelis remain in charge, otherwise the Democrats will win, and you know what they’re like!

    1. Trump is the one who is covering all this up. He’s to blame and that’s because he’s done some very awful things that Epstein recorded. If he really cared about the country he would come clean and let the chips fall where they may.

      1. Nah, this thing is clearly much bigger than Trump and long pre-dates him in office.

It is the American government in toto that is compromised.

Outside of Divine intervention, the entire thing is unreccoverable absent a violent purge, or total collapse leaving a power vacuum.

        1. Sure yeah the entire American government. Got it. But Trump was supposed to be the outsider, remember? The guy who was going to get stuff done.

How many times did he promise to release the evidence?

If he really loved this country he could write his own speech, keep it on him, organize a press conference and simply tell the truth. He won’t because he did evil things with children, Mr Lesser of 2 Evils, but he could do that if he truly cared.

So he’s just part of all of it. Always was, actually. He and his ‘Catholic ‘ wife. He is the worst president in US history

          1. I don’t know about “always”, but he is now officially a part of it whether he was a willing participant or a coerced one.

We can safely conclude the US Presidency is not what rules the country and ditto for every Western Democracy.

          2. It may have been “always” (relatively, anyway) —

America is notoriously fickle with its public figures. Celebrity ebbs and flows, and in most cases, burns out completely when the cultural winds shift in another direction.

No human being in any of our lifetimes has enjoyed the unbroken A-list status that Donald Trump has enjoyed for the better part of the last 50 years. And for what? Being a great business man? His investments in Atlantic City were a financial dumpster fire. His airline went the way of his steaks, his bottled water, his clothing line, his university, his vodka, his cologne, his magazine, and his board games. The man single-handedly killed the USFL by being either a complete idiot or a saboteur (the latter is looking more likely by the day). He went through multiple bankruptcies before the banking families bailed him out, and an ugly high-profile divorce. So what exactly was he so famous for? Why was he kept on our screens and in our faces for all of those years?

And when he was on those screens, going back to his endless appearances on Larry King, Oprah, and Barbara Walters in the 80s, they couldn’t stop asking the guy about running for president, usually in front of cheering audiences in studios with big APPLAUSE signs. You’ve seen the clips, they’re all over the place. In retrospect, doesn’t the entirety of Donald Trump’s media career feel more like a conditioning campaign, rather than anything organic? The guy has been massively promoted as an A List celebrity and future president for most of our lives.

Considering where he is today, and what this moment means for the future of the west, it’s really hard to see it any other way. We know the real powers behind everything play the long game very well. And we know they’re playing for all the marbles.

In my mind, it’s more likely than not that Donald Trump was manufactured for this moment going back to the 1970s.
