The traditional acts of devotion to the Sacred Heart, as revealed to St. Margaret Mary, involve adoration, reparation, and expiation, for the grave offenses unjustly inflicted upon our Lord by ungrateful men. Simply put, Christ explains to us how to go about executing these elements in such a way that through this reparation, we merit certain promises for our piety. His mere invitation is such an honor.
Well. We certainly can’t have any of that outdated mystical nonsense, now can we? And so the antipope and anti-church set about to destroy it, by purposely undermining the very nature of this devotion, citing “outdated structures and concerns,” and turning it into… you guessed it… the brotherhood of peace and lurv, “bringing joy and building communities,” and “journeying together towards a fraternal world.”
Why? Because they are enemies of faith. They don’t believe any of it. The only thing that exists for them is the material world, and material concerns. Anything remotely supernatural must be debunked and demythologized. You might want to get engaged in this battle, because they’re coming for your soul. In a most ironic development, the very men who necessitated the devotion in the first place, are now here to destroy it.
Our friend The Catholic Esquire breaks it down in 18 minutes:
It seems Francis has taken an either/or view of devotion to the Sacred Heart. A deep devotion to the Sacred Heart leads to a deep devotion to care for those who are in need temporally. The desire to bring everyone to salvation, the conversion of sinners, is the mission of the Church. The devotion is this and more.
. I can only think watering down the great Kingship of Christ and the need for reparation for the blasphemies and horrors directed against His Majesty is also a way to water down the month the Sacred Heart, June so that the cooption of this month can be redirected.
The Synagogue has an abject hatred for the Kingship of Christ. It would follow then that the “encyclical” that makes the Talmud part of Magisterium would denigrate Christ’s Kingship. Jorge’s nephew is a rabbi, afterall.
My patience with fellow Catholics who continue to say he’s the pope is over.
You are not alone. Although in my parish I am the only one that thinks like you as far as I know.
For many it’s just a habit I think. But I tend to agree. He is the head of the conciliar entity trying to wreck the Church. Nothing more.
