“Who is this that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?”

STARTS TOMORROW AUGUST 6th

MARY! More Awesome Than Armies! More Agile than Assassins!

ONLY She can save us from impending WWIII with Russia. More Powerful than Hiroshima, Hitler, or Heretics! Her dexterity deflected the bullet meant for Pope John Paul II–and perhaps other world leaders! Learn the Secret Weapon that is Mary!

Both Genesis and Revelation, describe combat between the Woman and the Serpent. We’ll cover Mary’s role in Christ’s triumph over Satan: from Christmas to Calvary, from Albigensians to Aztecs, from ancient idolatrous nations to modern Marxist-socialism: She shall crush his head. From Tradition, Saints and Marian Apparitions we’ll see Mary equips her children with the Rosary and the Scapular, forges them into warriors who obtain victory in their spiritual lives. She inspires heroes who defeat the dark stratagems of the enemies of the Church–inside and out! Her Fatima plan is our only hope for peace!

  1. Your posts don’t always come with commenting links. This is for the post directly above – “Feast Of The Transfiguration, Get Rid Of That Fear”.

It is unnatural to be comfortable with our own death. We live in the flesh and there is an innate sense of self-preservation. Like most things in the Catholic life, God gives us time to cooperate with His grace, and discipline thereby the imperatives of “the flesh”, strengthening the quiet, peaceful stirrings of “the spirit” toward its true home in heaven. It truly takes a lifetime to fully loose the bonds of earth in preparation for eternity with God.

And so, Pope St Leo I’s sermon here is a really good encouragement; to spiritually discipline ourselves; something to aspire to; a marker showing what we should be, even though not yet (at least for me).

    Thanks for the reminder.
And thanks for the reference to Benedictus – a worthy liturgical publication.

    1. There is a glitch in WordPress that I can’t seem to fix, where posting from mobile defaults to no combox. I have to go on desktop version to enable comments after the fact, which I just did if you want to copypaste over there.

  2. “Who is this that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?”

I’m sure you meant something way better, but a good Tolkienista’s mind might answer with “Éalá Éarendel engla beorhtast, ofer middangeard monnum sended…” – THE bit from the Crist of Cynewulf that got Tolkien going, referring to whatever good angel (not Lucifer) who now serves as Morning Star.

    1. The quote is from Canticles, and the Church attributes the description to Our Lady. It appears in the Introit/Collect of several ancient Marian Masses.

      1. And in the Legion of Mary’s Tessera! Which the Legionares say every day. Join them, you won’t be sorry, soldiers.
