I think mercantilism is superior to free markets or free trade. Free trade encourages nations to specialize and do things like ship factories elsewhere or rely on the good will of other nations, which leads to globalism.
Parts of America are looking like commie Cuba
I have known many people who fled Cuba to come to the US; not just in Miami but in Texas as well. No matter how bad you think it is, it’s worse. The material poverty is harsh, to be sure, but the spiritual poverty is worse. Poverty, fear, repression of religion, censorship of thought, spying, government control of every aspect of life… Wait, we were talking about Cuba, right?
Nuestra SeƱora de la Caridad del Cobre, pray for us and for the people of Cuba.
