From the Amazon summary, via Google Translate:
The Church goes through the most serious crisis in its history, according to many observers. More questions are asked about what really happened in 2013 with the surprising “renunciation” of Benedict XVI, his decision to remain “pope emeritus” and the coexistence of two popes. Why had Benedict XVI become a sign of contradiction? What was happening on a geopolitical level? Who advocated a “revolution” within the Catholic Church? And has the pope really resigned? These are the questions Antonio Socci tries to answer through the facts, gestures and words of Benedict XVI in these six years, discovering, as in an exciting thriller, that he actually remained pope , with consequences still unexplored. In this compelling and documented investigation we try to understand what is happening in the Vatican, but above all it investigates the mysterious mission to which Benedict XVI has been called, for the Church and for the world. The author hypothesizes that there may also be supernatural events at the origin of his choice. Then there is to decipher an ancient prophecy concerning blessed xvi and there is finally a new revelation that comes from Fatima, that not only affects the Church, but the whole world.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Momentum really seems to be building. First Edward Pentin’s overlooked interview with Mons. Nicola Bux gets picked up by both PJMedia and LifeSite, then Antonio Socci comes out with this book. I was just thinking the other day, didn’t Socci right at the start of these events back in 2013 make the assertion that Benedict’s resignation was invalid? He certainly rejected Bergoglio’s election, even writing a book “Non e Francesco”.
Benedict abdicated as Pope because he is an old man not in the best of health…it is as simple as that.
As was almost every other pope in history, except for those who were martyred. Dying of poor health in old age is the norm.
Benedict said he was no longer able to handle the mental requirements of the papacy – and then gave a half hour speech in Italian with no notes, and wrote a few books. Hmmm.
Veri Catholici, I don’t even believe it was a “serious error” per 188 and Miss Barnhardt. Benedict did not make a mistake. He knew what he was doing and NEVER intended to and never did split the papacy. He didn’t even renounce the ministry rather he announced his inability to “administer rightly” two of the powers. We know his inability stemmed not from a lack of vigor on his part so much as the malfeasant disobedience of subordinates. Benedict is Pope but not because of error and not because of a faulty conclave or Bergoglio’s heresy. By his “triumphal decision”, Pope Benedict cooperated with God thus moving the diabolical network to gloatingly reveal itself. Benedict has been heroically and prayerfully waiting for us to figure out that he never stopped being the one and only Holy Father. Please see my comment on an earlier post that shows the precise translation of Benedict’s Feb 11th, 2013 announcement. According to canon 332 you cannot resign the Papacy without resigning the office. But B16 never resigned the office, he resigned, and he has said this many many times since, the ministry of the office. Therefore according to canons 145 and 188, he is still the pope.

Absolutely correct!
“From the election of his successor Pope Francis – on the 13th March 2013 – there are not then two popes, but de facto an enlarged ministry with an active and a comtemplative member. For this reason, Benedict has not renounced either his name or his white cassock. For this reason the correct title with which we must refer to him is still “Holiness”‘
Archbishop Georg +Ganswein at the Pontifical Gregorian University on 20 May 2016.
So… if there is an “expanded ministry” since 13th March, what was Benedict’s position between Feb 28th and 13th March?
Was the Petrine office only half-filled (with a contemplative member) waiting for the active member?
If Benedict truly had abdicated on Feb 28th, then how could he then have any part of this “expanded ministry”.
Pope Francis is a nightmare. May God mercifully deliver us and terminate his pontificate soon.
Barnhardt has been saying this for a very long time. Glad others are finally speaking out. It’s the only thing that makes sense.
