Gaudete! Be nothing solicitous!

Gaudete! The following verse is taken from the Epistle for the Third Sunday of Advent in the Ancient Rite:

Be nothing solicitous; but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God.  (Phil 4:6)

This isn’t Hakuna Matata from The Lion King, as in “no troubles.” Solicitousness is the vice of excessive worry: Anxiety. And there is certainly no shortage of it today. The remedy for this is nothing less than total abandonment to the Divine Providence. What have you got to lose? Resolve to try it for a week, and see what happens. If it didn’t kill you, try for a month. Then three months.

God is in control. He is, right now, controlling every aspect of the physical universe. He knows where you are and what you are going through. If He stopped thinking about you for a nanosecond, you would cease to exist. So, while you very well may have “troubles,” you should turn them over to the Lord, and trust in Him. Trust also the future to Him. Use what troubles you have as a tool to draw yourself closer to Him, uniting your will with His.

Why Things Slightly Improving Makes Things Worse

The pattern is obvious. An overall gradual decline, interspersed with fairly regular upward swings of sanity. But with the same inevitable result of some kind of cataclysm or leftist singularity, the only kind of singularity we should worry about. After which comes the Great Reset.

Why this is so is even obvious, after a bit of thought.

The left has no authority which makes and maintains dogma, as does the Right. There is no agency or Church or authority that insists “Be this woke and no woker.” There is nobody who can declare “Cannibalistic children trannies are far enough.” There will always be somehow who can insist it is not enough and that the flesh that is consumed must first be sodomized. Only bigots deny this.

Tell a leftist that to be consistent and “unbiased” he has to accept the latest New Absurd Thing, and he will support it, even if reluctantly. But not always with enthusiasm or with alacrity. Even leftists tire of the slide into oblivion and from time to time will pause to catch their wind.

When you marry these pauses with a trait of those on the Right to avoid confrontation if at all possible, you get the little upward blips.

Most of those on the right allow a grudging acceptance of change up to a certain point, to avoid confrontation. Until sufficient pressure builds and there comes rejection of the One Thing Too Many Too Fast. Like the stabbings in Ireland…

Update on the Pitt investigation

By Nurse Claire

David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress have released this update to the scandalous, MURDEROUS Pitt fetal research: (everything is explained/how it works in this five minute video. -nvp)

It will be interesting to see if the Biden DOJ actually prosecutes this egregious crime, which the Trump justice department failed to do.

May Our Lady of Guadalupe obtain for us the destruction of this wicked practice and the conversion of all hearts that perpetrate this crime,

Prayer to Mary Most Holy to obtain a good death

I was privileged the other day to lead the Fourth Glorious Mystery of the Rosary (Mary’s Assumption into Heaven) at the beginning of the “Is the Pope Catholic?” online conference. Fruit of the mystery is the grace of a well-provided death. The following popped up in my timeline this morning:

Prayer to Mary Most Holy to obtain a Good Death ~ St Alphonsus

The Glories Of Mary

TUESDAY
Prayer to Mary most holy to obtain a good death

OH Mary, what will be my death? I tremble and am confounded when I now consider my sins, and think of that great, decisive moment of my salvation or eternal damnation, when I shall die and be judged. Oh my most sweet mother, my hopes are in the blood of Jesus Christ, and in thy intercession. Oh consoler of the afflicted, do not abandon me then; do not cease consoling me in that great affliction. If now I am tormented with remorse on account of past sins, the uncertainty of pardon, the danger of relapse, and the rigor of divine justice, what will become of me then? If thou dost not aid me, I am lost. Ah, my Lady, before my death arrives, obtain for me a great sorrow for my sins, a true amendment, and fidelity to God for the life that remains to me. And when the last moment of my life comes, oh Mary my hope, aid me then in my great distress, and encourage me then that I may not despair at the sight of my sins which the demon will present to me. Obtain for me the grace to invoke thee then more constantly, that I may expire with thy sweet name, and that of thy most holy Son, upon my lips. And now, oh Lady, pardon my boldness: before I expire come thyself to console me by thy presence. This grace thou hast granted to so many of thy servants, I also wish and hope for it. I am, indeed, a sinner, and I do not merit it; but I am thy servant, who loves thee, and has great confidence in thee. Oh Mary, I wait for thee, do not leave me disconsolate. At least, if I am not worthy of so great a favor, assist me from heaven, that I may die in the love of God and of thee, and come to love God and thee eternally in paradise.

“They have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be.”

At the end of Fr. Kramer’s speech at the “Is the Pope Catholic?” conference two days ago, he recites an excerpt from the long version of the Prayer to St. Michael. I first wrote about this prayer six years ago, which I am reprinting below. What was the horrific vision experienced by Pope Leo XIII that inspired him to write this prayer? Is it relevant to the current situation in the Vatican? What does the evidence tell you?

Let’s talk about the Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel. It is said after every Low Mass, as instituted by Pope Leo XIII, who composed it after having a dark vision regarding the future of the Church.  What many don’t know is that the prayer we use is a drastically shortened version of the original. And boy, the original is simply terrifying. But it’s also a WMD in the realm of Spiritual Warfare, so we need to learn about it.

There are varying traditions regarding the circumstances and even the year in which Leo had his vision and then transcribed this prayer. However, there are several elements that seem to be common to all of the accounts I’ve read. Shortly after saying Mass one day, Leo became entranced. Some reports have him falling to the ground and appearing dead, others have him standing upright as if dead on his feet, ashen-faced.  When he regained his faculties, he reported “Oh, what a horrible picture I have been permitted to see!” What he saw was Satan with a multitude of evil spirits charging forth from Hell, engaged in an epic battle in an attempt to destroy the Church. Then Saint Michael intervenes to consign Satan and his minions to the depths of Hell, just as he did at the time of the original non serviam (Rev 12 HERE).

The political/social/economic climate of the 1880s is an important backdrop to all of this. The profound promises errors and evils of the Endarkenment were freely mixing with the profound promises errors and evils of Marxism. The industrial revolution and its fledgling Capitalism were not without their own abuses. Rome had been conquered militarily and the Papal States lost, bringing a deep concern over the temporal sovereignty of the Pope and its effect on his ability exercise his spiritual authority.

As an aside, you really should dive into all the great writing of Pope Leo XIII. Start with just a few paragraphs of Rerum Novarum HERE.  When something written 125 years ago so clearly applies to our times, and seems like it could have been written yesterday, you know you’ve got something good.  A lot of his stuff is that way, and if you are remotely aware of current events in the Vatican, the prayer you’re about to read is going to seem rather on-target.

So what was so horrible in Pope Leo’s vision?  Well, it wasn’t the ending, because the ending would have been a great relief. Yet it wasn’t a sense of victory that Leo came away with. Why?  Because the first part of the vision – in which he saw how Satan would come to attack the Church – must have been truly horrifying. Pope Leo had been around the block a time or two at this point.  He would not have been easily shocked. Keep this thought in mind as you read the long version of the prayer.

Lastly, a word of caution. This is truly a weapon of Spiritual Warfare, which is a very real thing. It’s more real than the room you’re sitting in and the chair you’re sitting on.  Get that through your head. It’s not something to be messed around with. In this prayer, which is used in exorcisms, you are engaging with creatures whose intellects are orders of magnitude greater than your own. Make the Sign of the Cross before and afterward and adopt a military bearing.

ORIGINAL PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL, POPE LEO XIII, ~1886
“O Glorious Prince of the heavenly host, St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in the terrible warfare that we are waging against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the evil spirits. Come to the aid of man, whom Almighty God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of Satan.

“Fight this day the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in Heaven. That cruel, ancient serpent, who is called the devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out the name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory.

“This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity. These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself, where the See of Holy Peter and the Chair of Truth has been set up as the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be.

“Arise then, O invincible Prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and give them the victory. They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious power of hell; to thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly beatitude. Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet, so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they may quickly find mercy in the sight of the Lord; and vanquishing the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.”

“Go and relate to John what you have heard and seen.”

How wonderfully appropriate that the Gospel for the day after the “Is the Pope Catholic” conference, the Second Sunday of Advent, begins thus:

At that time, when John had heard in prison the works of Christ: sending two of his disciples he said to him: “Art thou he that art to come, or look we for another?” And Jesus making answer said to them: “Go and relate to John what you have heard and seen. The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead rise again, the poor have the gospel preached to them.”

The first thing to note is that this is NOT about John losing his faith and doubting our Lord. John is near the end of his earthly life, has carried out his task in spades, yet he still has these two disciples he can’t shake loose. So John, upon hearing the works of Christ, decides the best way to teach these two was to send them straight to Jesus. How does Jesus answer them? Does He appeal to authority? Or does He instruct them to use their senses? “Go and relate to John what you have heard and seen.” What does the EVIDENCE point to? Use your brain, and examine the evidence. There is a very good reason the Bergoglian antipapacy is so very visible. It’s so you can find the truth. Now please enjoy this excerpt from Ann Barnhardt’s talk at yesterday’s conference:

Canon 332.2 reads:
If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his office (munus), it is required for validity that the resignation is made freely and properly manifested but not that it is accepted by anyone.
Immediately we see two massive problems. First, Pope Benedict never RESIGNED the OFFICE. The only reference to the OFFICE of the Papacy in his statement was the sentence in which he very clearly expressed that the OFFICE was comprised of two main categories of MINISTRY: the active governance of the Church, and prayer and suffering. Second, we have the “proper manifestation” clause in Canon 332.2. The very fact that we are sitting here today nearly eleven years later discussing Pope Benedict’s failed attempted partial abdication, and that an ever-growing percentage of faithful, believing Catholics think that Pope Benedict’s resignation was extremely suspect at best, proves in and of itself that his attempted partial resignation was not PROPERLY MANIFESTED. As if this weren’t enough, the complete lack of “proper manifestation” continued daily, completely visible in the public eye, until Pope Benedict’s death, as he wore the Papal white, continued to use his Papal name and style, “His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI”, and even in his consistent granting of the Apostolic Blessing – the Blessing of the Pope – using the first person possessive adjective “my”: “I give you MY Apostolic Blessing”.
Canon 332.2 also reiterates in no uncertain terms that neither the College of Cardinals nor anyone else adjudicates a Papal resignation. Papal resignations are adjudicated SOLELY by Canon Law, of which Christ Almighty Himself is the Guarantor and Indisputable Authority as He stated in the Holy Gospels in Matthew 18: 18:
Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven.
As if this weren’t enough, we also have Pope Benedict’s words from his “Final Audience” in St. Peter’s Square on February 27th, 2013, which recapitulate in even more explicit language everything covered above.
The “always” is also a “for-ever” – there can no longer be a return to the private sphere. My decision to resign the active exercise of the ministry does not revoke this. I do not return to private life, to a life of travel, meetings, receptions, conferences, and so on. I am not abandoning the cross, but remaining in a new way at the side of the crucified Lord. I no longer bear the power of office for the governance of the Church, but in the service of prayer I remain, so to speak, in the enclosure of Saint Peter. Saint Benedict, whose name I bear as Pope, will be a great example for me in this. He showed us the way for a life which, whether active or passive, is completely given over to the work of God.
Beware of anyone who tries to gaslight you into believing that words mean the opposite of their plain sense. Remember the words of Our Blessed Lord in Matthew 5: 37:
But let your speech be yea, yea: no, no: and that which is over and above these, is of evil.
The chaos and concurrent ascendancy of the Antichurch and secular evil over the past nearly eleven years is a testament to not only Pope Benedict’s catastrophic failed attempt to flee, but also to the blindness at best, and luciferian malignancy at worst, of those who would have the world believe that ‘yea’ means ‘no’, or that ‘remain’ means ‘leave’.
