He signed a document that was short and to the point. Benedict COULD have resigned validly, had he followed Nixon’s example.
Instead, he tried to resign only the ministry – the governance – the “doing,” while trying to remain somehow as the hidden contemplative papal member, keeping the title “His Holiness.” Not strange at all.
Benedict’s helicopter didn’t really take him anywhere. Nine years later, still inside the Vatican.
I first called out the looming catastrophe on 29 February 2020, weeks before anyone had heard the terms “flatten the curve” and “two weeks to slow the spread.” It’s not that I’m super prescient… I’m not. Things have to be really obvious for me to take notice. In that post, I explained how the Russian/Ukraine narrative had failed, impeachment had failed, economy on fire, so now they needed a nuclear option to get rid of Trump. Something everyone could get on the same team. At the time, the leftists didn’t get it yet. They were still downplaying the virus so they could call Trump racist. It wasn’t until March they realized what their long game needed to be, and jumped in with CDC/Deep State to make the killing fields as efficient as possible. Still not a single resignation/termination/prosecution for any of this.

Jan. 14: The WHO announces, “Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in Wuhan, China.” Meanwhile, according to The Associated Press, internal Chinese documents show that government officials acknowledged likely human-to-human transmission of coronavirus, and said they were following orders from the president of China to keep it under wraps.
Jan. 17: The CDC and the Department of Homeland Security announce that travelers into the U.S. from Wuhan will undergo new screening at several major airports.
Jan. 19: The WHO hedges somewhat: “Not enough is known to draw definitive conclusions about how it is transmitted, the clinical features of the disease, the extent to which it has spread, or its source, which remains unknown.”
Jan. 23: Vox publishes an article stating that travel bans to fight viruses “don’t work.” The article initially referred to the “Wuhan coronavirus,” before being edited weeks later. The article’s URL remains unchanged.
China seals off Wuhan, canceling plane, train and bus travel.
Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, says in a Journal of the American Medical Association podcast that the U.S. wouldn’t implement shutdowns of cities like what was occurring in China: “There’s no chance in the world that we could do that to Chicago or to New York or to San Francisco, but they’re doing it. So, let’s see what happens.”
Jan. 24: Politico reports that the Trump administration held a briefing on the coronavirus for senators, but it was “sparsely attended” in part because it “was held on the same day as a deadline for senators to submit their impeachment questions.”
“The initial thought from the Dems, I think, is that we were trying to distract from impeachment,” a GOP Senate aide told Politico. The outlet added that a White House official “recalled feeling surprised at the ‘incredibly’ poor attendance, noting that it came ‘even though the amount of concern expressed then was rather intense.’”
Jan. 26: “The American people should not be worried or frightened by this. It’s a very, very low risk to the United States,” Fauci says on The CATS Roundtable. “It isn’t something that the American public needs to worry about or be frightened about.”
Jan. 27: The Biden campaign, including its top coronavirus adviser Ron Klain, praise China for being “transparent” and “candid.” Speaking to Axios, Klain asserts: “I think what you’d have to say about China is, it’s been more transparent and more candid than it has been during past outbreaks, though still there’s problems with transparency and candor.” Even as he says there were “many” areas in which China hasn’t been transparent, Klain asserts that China had helpfully released a “sequence of the virus.” Klain goes on to say there isn’t “any reason” for anyone to postpone essential travel to anywhere except the Wuhan area.
Jan. 28: Three days before Trump closes off most travel from China, Klain says he opposes that measure.
Jan. 30: The WHO declares a global health emergency, and the State Department issues advisories against traveling to China.
Jan. 31: Trump issues the “Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus.” Later in the day, Biden campaigns in Iowa and tells the crowd that Americans “need to have a president who they can trust what he says about it, that he is going to act rationally about it. … This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia – hysterical xenophobia – and fearmongering to lead the way instead of science.”
Also in the wake of the ban on Jan. 31:
An article in The New York Times quotes epidemiologist Dr. Michael Osterholm as saying that Trump’s decision to restrict travel from China was “more of an emotional or political reaction.”
The Washington Post runs a story quoting a Chinese official asking for “empathy” and slamming the White House for acting “in disregard of WHO recommendation against travel restrictions.”
Vox tweets: “Is this going to be a deadly pandemic? No.” The tweet was deleted weeks later.
Canada’s health minister Patty Hajdu, who would later say there was no reason to doubt Chinese coronavirus data, says the risk of the virus is “low” and that early-warning systems are working “exactly as they should.” The “spread of the disease is contained,” Hajdu claimed.
PIVOT TO ORANGE MAN RACIST
Feb. 2: “There’s a virus that has infected 15 million Americans across the country and killed more than 8,200 people this season alone,” CNN tweets. “It’s not a new pandemic — it’s influenza.”
New York City Health Commissioner Oxiris Barbot tweets: “As we gear up to celebrate the #LunarNewYear in NYC, I want to assure New Yorkers that there is no reason for anyone to change their holiday plans, avoid the subway, or certain parts of the city because of #coronavirus.”
Feb. 7: Barbot strikes again, assuring residents, “We’re telling New Yorkers, go about your lives, take the subway, go out, enjoy life.” City lawmakers have called for Barbot to be fired because of the comments.
Feb. 9: Mark Levine, the chair of New York City Council health committee and a Democrat, tweets: “In powerful show of defiance of #coronavirus scare, huge crowds gathering in NYC’s Chinatown for ceremony ahead of annual #LunarNewYear parade. Chants of ‘be strong Wuhan!’ If you are staying away, you are missing out!”
Feb. 13: “There are ZERO confirmed cases of coronavirus in New York City, and hundreds of Chinese restaurants that need your business!” the New York City mayor’s office tweets. “There is nothing to fear. Stop by any Chinatown for lunch or dinner!”
Feb. 17: Fauci announces that the risk of coronavirus infection in the U.S. is “miniscule,” according to USA Today. Fauci, one of the top experts (COUGH) in the field and a senior White House coronavirus adviser, also told the paper that people shouldn’t wear masks unless they are contagious. (By April 3, Fauci appeared to endorse national stay-at-home orders.)
Feb. 18: In remarks at Joint Base Andrews, Trump states: “I think President Xi is working very hard. As you know, I spoke with him recently. He’s working really hard. It’s a tough problem. I think he’s going to do — look, I’ve seen them build hospitals in a short period of time. I really believe he wants to get that done, and he wants to get it done fast. Yes, I think he’s doing it very professionally. Feb. 24: “It’s exciting to be here, especially at this time, to be able to be unified with our community,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., tells reporters as she visits San Francisco’s Chinatown. “We want to be vigilant about what is out there in other places. Also on Feb. 24, the White Housesubmits a request to Congress for $2.5 billion in supplemental spending to help combat the coronavirus outbreak. The request includes $1.25 billion in new money, with the rest coming from unspent funds.

Mar. 9: At a Fox News town hall, Bernie Sanders says he would not close the border, even if it were necessary to halt the spread of coronavirus. He then attacked Trump’s “xenophobia.”
Also on this day, Fauci remarks that going to campaign rallies may not be a bad idea: “You know, I can’t comment on campaign rallies. It really depends. We are having as we all said — this is something in motion. This is an evolving thing. So I’m not sure what we’re going to be able to say at the time we’re going to have a campaign rally. If you’re talking about a campaign rally tomorrow, in a place where there is no community spread, I think the judgment to have it might be a good judgment. [But] if you want to talk about large gatherings in a place you have community spread, I think that’s a judgment call, and if someone decides they want to cancel it, I wouldn’t publicly criticize them.”
Now ask yourself, dear reader, what exactly happened beginning March 10th, such that we completely closed down the country three days later? What could have happened? Why did the left pivot 180 degrees? Getting the feeling that gaslighting might be involved? Let me just say this. Pointing to evidence showing that something stinks in Ukraine is not the same as being pro-Putin. It’s possible to have a situation where all actors are bad actors. Documents expose US biological experiments on allied soldiers in Ukraine and Georgia
While the US is planning to increase its military presence in Eastern Europe to “protect its allies against Russia”, internal documents show what American “protection” in practical terms means. The Pentagon has conducted biological experiments with a potentially lethal outcome on 4,400 soldiers in Ukraine and 1,000 soldiers in Georgia. According to leaked documents, all volunteer deaths should be reported within 24 h (in Ukraine) and 48 h (in Georgia).
Both countries are considered the most loyal US partners in the region with a number of Pentagon programs being implemented in their territory. One of them is the $2.5 billion Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Biological engagement program which includes research on bio agents, deadly viruses and antibiotic-resistant bacteria being studied on the local population.
… Documents obtained from the US Federal contracts registry show that USAMRU-G is expanding its activities to other US allies in the region and is “establishing expeditionary capabilities” in Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Latvia and any future locations. The next USAMRU-G project involving biological tests on soldiers is due to start in March of this year at the Bulgarian Military Hospital in Sofia.
Project UP-8: All deaths of study participants should be reported within 24 h
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has funded a similar project involving soldiers in Ukraine code-named UP-8: The spread of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus and hantaviruses in Ukraine and the potential need for differential diagnosis in patients with suspected leptospirosis. The project started in 2017 and was extended few times until 2020, internal documents show.
According to the project’s description, blood samples will be collected from 4,400 healthy soldiers in Lviv, Kharkov, Odesa and Kyiv. 4,000 of these samples will be tested for antibodies against hantaviruses, and 400 of them – for the presence of antibodies against Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus. The results of the blood testing will not be provided to the study participants.
There is no information as to what other procedures will be performed except that “serious incidents, including deaths should be reported within 24 hours. All deaths of study subjects that are suspected or known to be related to the research procedures should be brought to the attention of the bioethics committees in the USA and Ukraine.”
Blood samples from 4,000 Ukrainian soldiers will be tested for hantaviruses. Another 400 blood samples will be tested for CCHF under the DTRA-sponsored Ukrainian Project UP-8.Project UP-8: “Serious incidents, including deaths should be reported within 24 hours. DTRA has allocated $80 million for biological research in Ukraine as of 30 July 2020, according to information obtained from the US Federal contracts registry. Tasked with the program is the US company Black &Veatch Special Projects Corp.
Another DTRA contractor operating in Ukraine is CH2M Hill. The American company has been awarded a $22.8 million contract (2020-2023) for the reconstruction and equipment of two biolaboratories: the State Scientific Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary-Sanitary Expertise (Kyiv ILD) and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Regional Diagnostic Laboratory (Odesa RDL).
US personnel are indemnified for deaths and injuries to the local population
The DTRA activities in Georgia and Ukraine fall under the protection of special bilateral agreements. According to these agreements, Georgia and Ukraine shall hold harmless, bring no legal proceedings and indemnify the United States and its personnel, contractors and contractors’ personnel, for damage to property, or death or injury to any persons in Georgia and Ukraine, arising out of activities under this Agreement. If DTRA-sponsored scientists cause deaths or injuries to the local population they cannot be held to account.
Furthermore, according to the US-Ukraine Agreement, claims by third parties for deaths and injuries in Ukraine, arising out of the acts or omissions of any employees of the United States related to work under this Agreement, shall be the responsibility of Ukraine.

The US military program is sensitive information
Ukraine has no control over the military bio-laboratories on its own territory. According to the 2005 Agreement between the US DoD and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine the Ukrainian government is prohibited from public disclosure of sensitive information about the US program and Ukraine is obliged to transfer to the US Department of Defense (DoD) dangerous pathogens for biological research. The Pentagon has been granted access to certain state secrets of Ukraine in connection with the projects under their agreement.
Biowarfare scientists under diplomatic cover
Among the set of bilateral agreements between the US and Ukraine is the establishment of the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) – an International organization funded mainly by the US government which has been accorded diplomatic status. The STCU officially supports projects of scientists previously involved in the Soviet biological weapons program. Over the past 20 years the STCU has invested over $285 million in funding and managing some 1,850 projects of scientists who previously worked on the development of weapons of mass destruction.
Ukraine and Russia hit by new highly virulent cholera infection
A new highly virulent variant of the cholera agent Vibrio cholera, with a high genetic similarity to the strains reported in Ukraine, hit Moscow in 2014. According to a 2014 Russian Research Anti-Plaque Institute genetic study the cholera strain isolated in Moscow was similar to the bacteria which caused the epidemic in neighboring Ukraine.
Southern Research Institute, one of the US contractors working at the bio-laboratories in Ukraine, has projects on Cholera, as well as on Influenza and Zika – all pathogens of military importance to the Pentagon.
Along with Southern Research Institute, two other private American companies operate military bio-labs in Ukraine – Black&Veatch and Metabiota.
Black & Veatch Special Project Corp. was awarded $198.7 million DTRA contracts to build and operate bio-laboratories in Ukraine (under two 5-year contracts in 2008 and 2012 totaling $128.5 million), as well as in Germany, Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Thailand, Ethiopia, Vietnam and Armenia.
Metabiota has been awarded a $18.4 million federal contract under the program in Georgia and Ukraine. This US company was also contracted to perform work for the DTRA before and during the Ebola crisis in West Africa, the company was awarded $3.1 million (2012-2015) for work in Sierra Leone .
Southern Research Institute has been a prime subcontractor under the DTRA program in Ukraine since 2008. Southern Research Institute was also a subcontractor on a Pentagon program for anthrax research …

I am just shocked at the scale, the magnitude of bio-weapons research – illegal and banned by Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (1972 treaty), but other treaties as well dating back to 1925 Geneva Convention treaty signed after WW I – this research done in the criminal gangster state of Ukraine.

Like I said, part of all this (related to the attacks) is speculation, but it seems undeniable now that the US has had a global network of weaponized bio-research labs developing viral agents of war – and it seems the real estate is chosen for ease of avoiding detection, regulation and exposure.
In July 2021, President Biden, members of his administration, and the rest of the Covid cartel – federal health agencies, Big Pharma, legacy media, and Big Tech – began blaming the unvaccinated for the prolonged pandemic and calling it a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
On July 16, 2021, Salvador Rizzo, writing as the Washington Post’s fact-checker, and therefore an esteemed member of the Covid cartel, awarded Johnson four Pinocchios for stating what was objectively true: the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) had already reported “over 5,200 deaths” on their “early warning system.”
On August 3, 2021, Israel’s Health Ministry reported smashing a five-month record of new cases, the vast majority in the fully vaccinated population. On Sept. 1, the New England Journal of Medicine published a letter reporting that Covid vaccine protection among 19,000 health care workers in San Diego went from 94-plus percent March through June to 66 percent in July.
The timing of scapegoating the unvaccinated for the ongoing pandemic was no coincidence. For anyone paying attention and not blinded by the siren song of Fauci, it was becoming apparent that the vaccines were not as safe or effective as we all hoped and prayed they would be. Because the Covid cartel was so vested in vaccines as the only solution to the coronavirus, evidence that their strategy was failing required a response.
Covid Cartel Blamed the Unvaxxed to Distract from Their Own Lies
Unfortunately, they simply could not afford to respond honestly. They had put all their eggs in the vaccine basket, sabotaged early treatment, and now a new surge in Covid cases and deaths was on the horizon.
The fall 2020 surge had peaked in January 2021, with the number of cases and deaths falling rapidly over the next 5 months. By June 2021, there had been approximately 120 million Covid infections in America, and strong evidence of the durability of natural immunity following Covid infection was growing. The percentage of fully vaccinated Americans was steadily increasing, and the logical expectation was that herd immunity was being achieved and the end of the pandemic should mercifully be in sight.
But it wasn’t, and the Covid cartel needed someone to blame: the unvaccinated. Because they had done everything they could to block early treatment, they had no therapeutics to offer the newly infected. Unlike Mexico, India’s Uttar Pradesh, and many other “less developed” nations, they couldn’t suddenly embrace the widely available, safe generic drugs they had spent the last year trashing and suppressing. The body count was simply too high for them to admit they were wrong about the life-saving potential of these drugs. So instead of fessing up to their tragic mismanagement, they allowed more people to needlessly die.
Second Opinions Are ‘Misinfo’ and ‘Terrorism’ Unless They’re Biden’s
In October 2021, President Biden said health-care workers who are vaccinated “cannot spread” Covid “to you.” This was blatantly false. The CDC had already been forced to admit in August 2021 that “fully vaccinated people with delta variant breakthrough infections can spread the virus to others.” Yet the narrative that vaccines would be a cure-all was used to justify the pointless vaccine mandates that have been so corrosive, divisive, and destructive to our society.
The American people were manipulated and turned against each other to hide government mismanagement, while many died unnecessary deaths due to suppression of early treatment options. Countless workers had to choose between losing their jobs or being coerced into accepting a medical treatment – Covid vaccination – they preferred to refuse. Businesses were disrupted, closed, and harmed, and the fabric of American society was deeply scarred.
To add insult to injury, on Feb. 7, 2022, the National Terrorism Advisory System issued a bulletin summarizing a new terrorism threat to the U.S. homeland which included “false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM).” According to Biden’s Department of Homeland Security, the justification for this statement includes “widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding … COVID-19.” So those with a second opinion on the pandemic are now suspected terrorists?
This affront to the Constitution’s first amendment cites no specific examples. Would President Biden’s July 21, 2021 misinformation that “you’re not going to get Covid if you have these vaccinations” be considered a terrorist threat? It most certainly is a false and misleading narrative. To this day, the Covid cartel continues to promote widespread fear, refuses to recognize natural immunity, and is pushing vaccines on children who have little risk of serious harm from Covid.
A time of reflection and reckoning is coming, as the Canadian trucker strike proves. The Biden administration and the rest of the Covid cartel must stop dividing America and abusing its awesome powers. The path forward should be obvious. Respect the public by being honest and transparent with it. And stop infringing our God-given freedom and personal health autonomy.

Two things I know:
1: Putin is a serious man; a man who knows Russian history and cares about Russian sovereignty and power.

EDMUND J. MAZZA is former Full Professor of History at Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles. For 14 years he taught Ancient, Medieval, and Renaissance and Reformation History. Mazza is the author of The Scholastics and the Jews: Coexistence, Conversion and the Medieval Origins of Tolerance by Angelico Press and host of “The Bar of History” at VirginMostPowerful.org. He has produced teaching videos shot on location in Athens, Ephesus, Istanbul, Palermo, Naples, Venice, and Rome. Mazza was an invited scholar at Liberty Fund’s 2015 San Diego seminar “Convivencia and Reconquista: Freedom and Responsibility in Medieval Spain.” That same year he organized at New York University the conference “Conversing Conversion,” celebrating the 750th anniversary of the birth of Dante. Dr. Mazza was also the organizer of “Christ Among the Medieval Mendicants,” a 2013 conference commemorating the 750th anniversary of the Barcelona Debate and the institution of the Feast of Corpus Christi, co-sponsored by The Graduate Center of the City University of New York and the Morgan Library and Museum.
