RIP Fr. Kenneth Walker three years later

It was three years ago yesterday this gentle soul went to his reward. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
He wasn’t murdered for being a priest, but that time is coming soon.
Fr. Z today repeats words of advice he gave at the time HERE.

About three years ago, Fr. Kenneth Walker, FSSP, was murdered in Phoenix and another priest (Fr. Joseph Terra, the pastor) badly injured by assault. Pray for Fr. Walker. RIP. At that time I posted the following, which seems no less urgent today than it did then. Indeed, it could be more urgent still, given the trajectory of current events.
Reverend gentlemen, the murder of one priest and the assault on another in Phoenix compels me to remind you to…GO TO CONFESSION. Our schedules are busy. Sometimes we have to drive even farther than lay people. But go to confession. Take the time to do this for yourself. Much has been given to us. Our accounting before God will be more severe than that of lay people…Moreover, consider well your living conditions and security. If you haven’t done so yet, begin to develop a situational awareness. Seek advice from professionals. This is not just a matter of personal concern. It is also a concern for those who depend on you for the sacraments. A priest in the ground or in the hospital is one priest fewer to see to the spiritual needs of people in these darkening times. You, Fathers, are a precious resource, only slowly “renewable”. If you are not concerned for the sake of your own person, be concerned for the sake of those who need you…I might now add to seek, along with advice, perhaps also training.

Fathers, listen to Fr.Z.  Equipment, preparedness (spiritual and material), situational awareness, training. Remember the greatest tactical advantage of the Novus Ordo: You’ve got your six covered and the whole room in front of you!
The parish still seems to be thriving, but it has been a quirky past couple years, in my opinion.  I am not a parishioner, but I’m there quite a bit, mostly for Confession (almost exclusively) and weekday Mass. The present pastor, who took Father Terra’s place around two years ago, never seemed a good fit. I will leave it at that. The regulars might totally disagree, I have no idea.  He’s just been reassigned, and the young curate Father Michael Passo, who seems quite good, has been appointed pastor. Please maybe say a prayer for him, and for Father Walker.
From a sudden and unprovided death, spare us O Lord.

Dear LiarCardinal Cupich, please allow me to destroy your satanic argument

American Cardinal Blase Cupich has interpreted Pope Francis’ controversial Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia as a call for Catholics to graduate from “an adolescent spirituality into an adult spirituality” where they will be able to use their “freedom of conscience” to “discern truth” in their life.
“What it [Amoris Laetitia] does is it really asked people to have an adult spirituality,” Cupich, the Archbishop of Chicago, said in an interview with Salt and Light’s Fr. Thomas Rosica that was published June 4 via a YouTube video.
Cupich explained to Rosica that an adult spirituality means “being able to, in some way, realize that you have the grace by God to discern truth in your life in terms of where the Lord is calling you to the next step. It does put the responsibility on each individual, rather than an outside authority telling people what to do, as though they were children.”
“What the Holy Father is calling us to, what the Church is calling us to now, is to be able to take responsibility for our lives. And that means making sure that people understand the freedom of consciences but also the responsibility that goes with it. So, this really, I think, is a movement to moving out of an adolescent spirituality into an adult spirituality. That’s a big significance, and it’s been going on since the Second Vatican Council,” he added.  HERE

Yeah, it sure has been going on since the Second Vatican Council, which is why said council needs to be, and will eventually be, totally disavowed and officially declared a Failed Council by the the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church.
Before we utterly destroy the argument put forth here, let us first note its trajectory, and recognize there is nothing new under the sun. It is nothing more than the common and most repeated tactic of the modernists: If you don’t agree with the new paradigm, you just haven’t “progressed” enough to understand it properly, poor dear.
My rage being barely restrained at this point, I’m not sure I could resist calling down holy lightning to shoot from my hands, Palpatine-like, if the man were standing in front of me.
God wills for every soul to be saved.  Not all souls are saved. But it is God’s will that each soul, having been personally created by Him literally for the very purpose of being with Him forever inside the Beatific Vision, to indeed be with Him forever inside the Beatific Vision. This being the case, and since every soul personally decides which of two places it wishes to spend eternity, guess what? Are you ready?
God had to make it simple enough so that the dumbest moron ever born could understand it, and choose wisely.
This is not me being mean.  This is 100% metaphysical reality. There obviously exists a range of human intelligence, right? First let’s talk about the high end. These people have been given much, and their reward will be terrible indeed if they choose the wrong path. So one huge marker of the One True Faith is that the farther you progress in the search for Truth, the deeper and more mystical and more TRUE it appears to these intelligent souls, like neon signs burning ever brighter pointing to Him. The deeper you dig, the richer it becomes. Compare this to say, islam, to which if you merely scratch the surface with a stick of talc is immediately exposed for the satanic fraud that it is.
Okay now the low end. It is not uncharitable to state that somewhere sometime there exists/existed the stupidest person on ever to walk the face of the earth. We are not talking about the so-called mentally challenged, who will never attain the age of reason. We are talking here about the person with the lowest-functioning yet fully developed and normal human brain of all time. This person is fully responsible for choosing the eternal fate of his soul, and he has the fewest resources to figure it out. So God, having made human beings with a range of intelligence, in his infinite mercy and infinite justice, had to make the basic truths about how He expects you to know, love and serve Him in this life in order to be with Him forever in the next…………..SIMPLE.
Now back to LiarCardinal. What he is proclaiming, straight from Hell, is this: as you progress in your spirituality, and grow to love and use your conscience to discern, that THE TRUTH CHANGES. Go read it again. People who respect and honor the teachings of Christ and His Church are CHILDISH. What a filthy destroyer of souls is this man and his boss. I mean his earthly boss, who wrote the wretched document in question, not his ultimate boss, the father of lies.
One last aspect to consider is how absolutely terrifying it would be if what he is saying were true. Think about it.  Do you really want the responsibility of figuring out for yourself in your own mind, with no “childish” guidance from that nasty Church, how exactly you save yourself? This is supposed to be comforting? No thanks.

Monday in the Octave of Pentecost, before they destroyed it

Introit: He fed them with the best of wheat, alleluia: and filled them with honey from the rock, alleluia, alleluia. Sing joyfully to God our strength; acclaim the God of Jacob.
Prayer: O God, Who gave the Holy Spirit to Your Apostles, grant to Your people the effect of their devout prayers, that on those to whom You have given faith, You may also bestow peace.
Offertory: The Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High gave forth His voice; and the fountains of waters appeared, alleluia.
Communion: The Holy Spirit will teach you, alleluia: whatever I have said to you, alleluia, alleluia.
Postcommunion: Be present to Your people, we beseech you, O Lord, and defend those whom you have nourished with heavenly mysteries from the fury of their enemies.
God wants us to pray for our needs. He wants us to be joyful in His strength. He wants to grant the effect of the prayers of the devoutly faithful, whose faith has been granted by Him through grace. He wants to thunder from heaven to our aid.
But to aid us in what way? To defend us from the fury of our worldly enemies, to be sure. But far greater than this, to aid us in attaining our heavenly reward, by SEEKING TRUTH. That’s the “whatever I have said to you” in the Communion verse. This truth is the One True Faith as laid down by Jesus Christ and disseminated by His apostles. The truth never changes because God never changes. For change to occur, the nature of thing must be different at one time than it is at another time. Since time is a construct created by God, and He exists outside of it, change for Him is impossible. That’s right, the omnipotent God was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be PERFECT.
So if you ever hear anyone, no matter their title, trying to tell you that you need to listen to the “spirit”, to be open to new ideas, to embrace the “surprises”, and to do so ESPECIALLY when they represent a clear break with how things were laid down and passed on for 2000 years, well, that person is in fact the enemy, attempting to inflict his fury upon you. And he is far worse than our worldy foes, because his fury is directed not at your mortal body, but at your eternal soul. Always it will be an appeal to the false doctrines of Times They Are A Changin’ and Things Are Different Nowadays, because today we have people in concrete situations to which it can no longer be said that God’s laws are anything more than lofty ideals.

For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables. 2 Tim 4:3-4

Everyone has their priorities: “Climate Change” vs Jihad

Via Chicks on the Right HERE, via The Tenth Crusade HERE.  Please spread the news to those in your circle who fit the description.

Leftists with their heads lodged squarely up their backsides have the unmitigated GALL to act shocked when this crap happens. Hashtags, tears, hugs, “Pray for London,” Facebook profile filters – all that stuff came out of the woodwork. If they hadn’t already been put away from the last terrorist attack, that is. And yet, when there are Actual Terrorists mowing people down in the streets and stabbing them indiscriminately while shouting about how wonderful Allah is, people are completely bewildered as to what’s going on.
Here’s a clue, leftists (and I’m looking at you, European jackholes) – The world isn’t going to end because the sun makes the earth get too hot and it certainly isn’t going to end because we’re using the wrong lightbulbs or because of too many cow farts . The world is more likely to end because of a bunch of jihadis operating under the belief that everyone who doesn’t bow to Allah either deserves death or to be shoved under a burqa and forced to service some Islamic overlord’s sexual depravity. If you were half as worried about yet-another-Mohammed causing bloodshed and rape in your city streets as you are about wonky weather patterns that no rational human being has a PRAYER of predicting, you probably wouldn’t be experiencing a terrorist attack literally every other week.

+Cupich vs Matthew vs Mark vs Trent

I must say I grow weary of these monkeyshines.
+Cupich:

Controversies about Church teachings have oftentimes provided new opportunities to retrieve certain truths that have become dormant, thereby resulting in sharper articulations of the faith. That is surely the case in this present moment, as some have raised questions about the apostolic exhortation, Amoris Laetitia, issued by Pope Francis, following the two synods on marriage and family life. The disputes cover a full range of issues, from how this document views the role of personal conscience to whether or not it represents an authentic development of Church doctrine. Some have even gone so far as to challenge the magisterial authority of this document signed by the pope. All of this has provoked a robust discussion by scholars familiar with Church history and our wider theological tradition and pastoral practice. For instance, Rocco Buttiglione offered us in his July 2016 L’Osservatore Romano article a lesson on the development of doctrine and what it means for Popes to exercise their divinely granted Petrine power of loosening and binding in different ways and in different historical circumstances.

Now comes Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio with his readers’ guide to the eighth chapter of this post-synodal exhortation…to offer a careful analysis of chapter 8 to help readers “grasp its rich doctrinal and pastoral message.” He is forthright in establishing that this magisterial document fully complies with traditional Church teaching on marriage, but is also in conformity with accepted standards of a pastoral approach that is positive and constructive. His exegesis of the document’s treatment of the subjective conditions of conscience and the role of pastoral discernment highlights the real circumstances people face, and the mitigating factors which must be taken into consideration…There are elements of a person’s being that are shared in common with all of humanity and understood in a general and abstract way. At the same time, there are unique elements of each individual “that in some way limit the person, especially in the ability to understand, to will and therefore to act.” For this reason, when it comes to dealing with certain so-called irregular situations, what is required is a pastoral approach that takes into consideration both the general and the individual aspects of a person’s life, that is, the full ontology of the person. This, he observes, “has always been and is, especially today, crucial for the life of the Church, especially for its pastoral activity.”

Read the commentary at Rorate HERE

And there came to him the Pharisees tempting him, and saying: Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?  Who answering, said to them: Have ye not read, that he who made man from the beginning, Made them male and female? And he said:  For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they two shall be in one flesh. Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.  They say to him: Why then did Moses command to give a bill of divorce, and to put away?  He saith to them: Because Moses by reason of the hardness of your heart permitted you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and he that shall marry her that is put away, committeth adultery. Matt 19:3-9

But but but… Moses was so much more… PASTORAL.

And the Pharisees coming to him asked him: Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him. But he answering, saith to them: What did Moses command you? Who said: Moses permitted to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away. To whom Jesus answering, said: Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you that precept. But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother; and shall cleave to his wife. And they two shall be in one flesh. Therefore now they are not two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house again his disciples asked him concerning the same thing. And he saith to them: Whosoever shall put away his wife and marry another, committeth adultery against her.  And if the wife shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. Mark 10:2-12

But what about my “ability to understand”, and to conform my will? Don’t these “so-called” irregular situations require a more pastoral approach which considers conscience and mitigating factors? Dear Jesus, creator of the universe and everything in it, why do you speak so clearly and leave no room for “discernment”? Shouldn’t it be up to me to decide the right path? Surely these Commandments are simply ideals that we aren’t really expected to live by, right? I mean, who do you think you are?

Trent, Session the Sixth, 13 January 1547:

CANON XIV. If any one shall say, that man is absolved from his sins and justified, because he assuredly believed himself to be absolved and justified… let him be anathema.

CANON XVIII. If any one shall say, that the commandments of God are, even for a man that is justified and constituted in grace, impossible to keep; let him be anathema.

CANON XX. If any one shall say, that a man who is justified and how perfect soever, is not bound to the observance of the commandments of God and of the Church, but only to believe; as if, forsooth, the Gospel were a bore and absolute promise of eternal life, without the condition of observation of the commandments; let him be anathema.

CANON XXI. If any one shall say, that Christ Jesus was given of God unto men, as a redeemer, in whom they should trust, and not also as a legislator, whom they should obey; let him be anathema.

Maureen Mullarkey destroys Francis and lays down the real on Islam

“Since it burst out of the Arabian desert in the seventh century, Islam swept across the known world by terror. It was the blitzkrieg of its age. As Islam reasserts itself (as Hilaire Belloc predicted it would) after the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire, terror is once again its gospel and its weapon. To take the violence out of Islam, Muslims would have to abandon all belief in the Quran as the word of Allah. It would have to reject the warlord Mohammed as his prophet and a model of conduct. In short, Islam would be required to denature itself... If ever there were a time for judgment to be called down on acolytes of annihilation, this is it. The Chair of Peter is a high rostrum from which to proclaim the primacy of the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus over the Islamic worldview. Allah, of course, would be displeased. And Francis is hostile to anything that might resemble missionary activity.”

She’s lobbing truth bombs and taking names HERE

Did Francis just call out Benedict for his failure to fully renounce the Petrine ministry?

From this morning’s homily:
“A shepherd must be ready to step down completely from his church, rather than leave in a partial manner” HERE
Go read the whole thing, then come back to that curious added phrase, “rather than leave in a partial manner.” Is that not the most interesting thing?
One has to wonder whether Francis, not the sharpest knife in the drawer, understands that he just declared himself an anti-pope if indeed it is Benedict he is referring to here.
More on this later.
