At this hour, the petition on change.org for the Electoral College to hand the presidency to Hillary has surpassed 3,500,000 signatures.  Never mind that its author is foolishly appealing to the “but but but she won the popular vote! No fair!” line of reasoning, which is pure stupidity. Four previous presidents were elected despite losing the popular vote, most recently in 2000. It’s a non-issue.
But boy, that’s a lot of signatures, and the movement hasn’t really started yet.
Those riots?…those aren’t going away. I bet you never thought #LoveTrumpsHate involved so much arson, destruction of property, and beatings.  Whether or not they are being paid, think about the mindset of these people. How twisted up in your own leftist fantasy land must you be, to think that “protests” can or should overturn the legal democratic process?
Or are they on to something? It feels oddly familiar… where have I seen this before?
Oh that’s right…BREXIT! The Remain contingent threw a fit, and immediately called for a do-over. This despite the fact that the referendum document itself, sent to every home in the UK, plainly stated:

“This is your decision. The government will implement what you decide.” HERE

But never mind that, the Remains are now pursuing a legal challenge to unbind the vote and turn it into a mere suggestion to parliament, AND THEY ARE WINNING. This will be seen as an example to be followed.
Trump stands at 290 votes, with NH and MI still being counted. If those go to Hillary, they need to find a way to steal 21 more votes. You do realize there were already electors, before the election took place, who stated, for the record, that they would never, ever vote for Trump if he won. Yeah, go google that.  Now, for every one of them who dared to speak out, how many, many more of them must there be who kept quiet?  Somebody is going to figure out it is indeed possible to rig the this. It is being worked on right now, without any question. To understand why, you need to understand why the Electoral College exists.
The Electoral College was created for two reasons, and unfortunately one of them does come into play here.
The first reason is that direct democracy at a national level is mob rule, and this concerned the Founding Fathers. They didn’t even want direct democracy at the state level when it came to federal authority – senators were not elected by the people until the last century. For a great example of how things can go ‘wrong’ with direct democracy at the national level, refer back to the Brexit referendum.  The Remains were so confident they would win, they stupidly put it on the ballot.Thanks, guys.
The second and more important reason the Electoral College exists is in the event a person with a lack of character – unfit for the office – should win the vote.
See where this is going?
If you think that Hillary’s lack of character is far worse than Trump’s, well I have news for you. It doesn’t matter that you’re right.  These people think Trump is the most vile human being ever. Go look at youtube for 15 minutes. Not only that, but didn’t you notice that the entire GOP establishment was against Trump?  There are dozens and dozens of RINO electors just begging for the right combination of bribes and promises to flip their vote. The best part is, they’ll get to bathe their treachery in the soothing warmth of “following their conscience.”
There are no federal laws prohibiting an elector from changing his pledged vote.  Those who do so are called Faithless Electors, and it has happened several times in the past, although it has never changed the outcome of the presidency. Several states do have laws against this, but most of them are fairly weak. Some states invalidate the flipped vote, some do not. You will need to do some research into this, and also how the electors are chosen in each state, in order to understand where the battlegrounds may be. Start HERE.
I would have immediately suspected PA as a target, having some of the most corrupt state politics in the nation. But the electors in PA are actually chosen not by the winning party, but by the winning candidate. So they will need to look for another large state, or else they could pursue flipping just one or two electors in a large number of states. Would it really be that hard?
The electors meet on 19 December. The ballots are sent to D.C., where a joint session of congress convenes 6 January 2017, when the ballots will be opened, counted, and the name of the new president announced by the President of the Senate, Joe Biden.
Do I really think this will come to pass? No, I don’t. I think it far more likely that the groundwork will be done, the necessary Faithless Electors will be secured for Hillary, and then they will take it to Trump. In a stunning execution of blackmail par excellence, they will secure his pledge to, more or less, maintain the status quote in return for them letting him keep the presidency while avoiding a challenge.
Don’t rock the boat.
Build the wall, but amnesty for all.
Don’t repeal obamacare, parts of it are just fine.
Don’t prosecute Crooked Hillary, we need unity not spite.

I awoke 8 Nov 2016 to facebook posts of very long election lines in PA, my native place. A good sign, even in suburban Philadelphia. Normally Philly and its contiguous counties are Blue, the rest of the state is Red other than State College, but the state ends up going Blue because the Philly population is just too big. And voter fraud.
Then I saw the lines in the blue collar wards within Philadelphia. Very good sign. Even the unions were going for Trump.  There is no early voting in PA – you must go to the polls on election day. A bright, sunny, mild election day. Deo Gratias.
In AZ, my current place, about 70% of ballots are cast via early voting. So lines at polling places are unheard of. But yesterday there were widespread reports of long lines in suburban and rural places. Republican places. Good sign.
AZ is typically a Red state for national elections and statewide races, but we have just enough Lefties to make things interesting sometimes.  They started saying AZ was in play about two months ago, after Pussygate.
Now, I happen to live in central Phoenix, in one of the Bluer districts. Our Dem Congresswomen was re-elected with 61%. I don’t think I saw one Trump sign anywhere near my house. And interestingly, at houses full of signs for Dem candidates for all the other races, no Hillary signs. I noticed it weeks ago.  For every ten houses with loads of Dem signs, maybe one had a Hillary sign.
I voted early via paper ballot.  My wife went to the polls at 10am, figuring it was her best chance for a short line.
It was empty. I snickered.
During the lunch hour, I decided to take a drive to check it out. Surely this would be the busiest time, other than 5:15-6pm, right?

Yeah. so I had a pretty good idea at 12:35pm where this was headed.  This is what played out across America.  In PA, OH, MI, WI, and FLORIDA.
Republicans showed up in droves, with great misgivings about their own candidate, but determined to stop HER. Dems were either repulsed enough to stay away, or else thought Trump didn’t have a chance.
Probably, the latter.  They believed their own fake polls. Even the tools on the news networks were in genuine disbelief as it played out last night. The moment Fox called Florida for Trump, the shift in tone was grave.
It was amazing.

Updated post from earlier last month, updated and edited, because there sure was a lot of stuff that happened in the last month. As you read this, keep in mind I wrote it when the “polls” showed Hillary with a ten point lead. You can read the old version HERE.
Way back when, Trump got into this race to do nothing more than dish out some “straight talk” to strengthen his personal brand (h/t Barnhardt) and then drop out once the going got tough. We all know what happened instead.  A great swath of the electorate sees that the country is utterly broken, and it turns out they are willing to take a chance on ANYONE who they think can fix it. The GOP panicked and almost destroyed itself. The traitorous RINOs decided they would rather have Hillary, because she is less of a threat to them. It will be business as usual. Hillary is IN REALITY more like them than Trump is. Think about that. Cucks like Ryan and McCain are actually WORSE than Hillary, because they cloak themselves in fake virtue and “hurt feelings” while actively trying to destroy the one candidate who has the only chance of beating her.
Also, have you wondered why the MSM is reporting Hillary has a ten point lead in the polls (edit:NOW DOWN TO TWO POINTS BECAUSE THE FRAUDSTER POLLSTERS SEE WHAT’S COMING), yet Trump is drawing tens of thousands to his rallies, with people lining up days ahead of time, yet she can’t fill a small room? Doesn’t seem to make sense, does it? And how many people are ashamed or deeply offended by Trump, and would never appear at a rally or put a sign in their yard, yet are without question voting for him? Don’t you remember the “polls” showed him losing every state  back during the primaries?  Trump is this popular despite both parties and almost the entire media working to defeat him.
Lastly, I can say with ONE HUNDRED PERCENT certainty that there is no such thing as “Make America Great Again.”  You must get your head around this, first and foremost.  America is over. The financial system is utterly unsustainable and its collapse is inevitable, the political system is utterly corrupt and not fixable, and the culture/morality war is over – we lost.  No one is capable of saving it by reversing course, nor even capable of a minor course correction. At best, you might get the thrust reduced from flank speed to full speed, but the iceberg is dead ahead. The only way this ends, whenever it does end, is with total societal collapse and hot war.  Aside: Don’t waste one more day failing to prepare for this eventual reality, physically, mentally, spiritually, materially.
So, if it is all meaningless, then why should we care?  Shouldn’t we just be trying to inform people of the reality on the ground and tell them that participating in this fiasco is nonsensical? Wouldn’t we be better off focusing all of our attention preparing for the aforementioned total collapse?
No. Not if you believe in the eternal life of the soul.
If you believe in the eternal life of the soul, and that every soul has infinite value, then you have a duty to do everything in your power to be a shepherd of souls. Which in this case means doing everything you can to stop Hillary.
I will limit my focus to three important areas where Hillary is clearly more of a threat to souls than Trump: Abortion, National Security, and Conscience.
Hillary will increase abortions, and she will make you pay for them whether you want to or not.  She will almost certainly find a way to personally profit from them. Abortion is always murder, because it involves a human being intentionally killing a totally innocent human being for any reason or no reason at all. This includes partial birth abortions, which she favors HERE, wherein a second or third trimester baby, up to and including on her due date, has her body vaginally extracted up to her neck, scissors jammed in her skull, and her brains either shredded by said scissors or sucked out. Dead baby and a mother irreparably scarred.  That’s what the real War on Women looks like, and you can google video it if you don’t believe me. As this practice increases and the left has ever greater influence on hearts and minds, teaching young girls that there is nothing wrong with this, more souls are at risk.
With regard to National Security, we need to consider both Domestic and Foreign Policy.
Hillary is a monumental threat to the Second Amendment.  If you think that’s a strange place to start the domestic policy discussion, you couldn’t be more wrong. At this point in our history, especially since the Executive overreach of both the Bush and Obama administrations, the Second Amendment is literally our greatest protection against a massive suppression of rights by the federal government. Whether or not you own a gun, this statement remains demonstrably true, and you might want to take a look just in the past hundred years how every out of control central government treats a disarmed citizenry.  It tends not to end well.
Not only this, but her unconstitutional proposals (she really wants total confiscation) come at a time when we have NEVER been under more of a domestic threat of terror. Combine this with her plan to increase migrants/refugees by tens of thousands from countries with known terrorist ties, and absolutely NO WAY to vet them. When they say “Oh no worries, they will be fully vetted”… hello? When you come from a country that has been torn apart and you have zero documentation of who you are or what you’ve done, doesn’t that make vetting impossible? Let’s say we bring in 100,000 muslims, and only one percent have bad intentions. That’s only 1000 terrorists!  It only took 19 on 9/11.
Foreign policy under Clinton will be a continuation of the interventionist Bush/Obama/Hillary doctrine of the past 15 years.  You thought Obama got us out of wars? Um, no.  He and Hillary completely destabilized the situation in places where we had nearly wiped out the threat, plus they intentionally supported the various Spring revolutions which destabilized several other countries, and now we are arming ISIS to fight Assad. Yes, we are.
Which brings me to the point that I hear most often from people who absolutely hate Hillary, but are “scared” of Trump.  “He is so spontaneous, he acts without thinking, he’s going to nuke Russia.” Are you kidding me?  You think Hillary, who is a psychopath, who has been enriched by foreign interests, who has been mired in the shadow of despicable men for 70 years, as the first woman president would be less hawkish, less aggressive, less provocative than Trump?  Well, I may have an old Psychology 101 book around here someplace I could send you. Hillary will be DYING to play My Dick Is Bigger Than Yours within weeks of taking office. The obvious specter of unjust war puts millions of souls at risk.
Now onto the third threat, Conscience. The email leaks make it clear, among other things, that the Left views the Catholic Church as a greater threat than Radical Islam. Let that sink in, and then think about the risk to souls. The Clinton team has created at least two ‘catholic’ organizations which are designed to infiltrate and destroy the Church from the inside. Clinton herself has publicly stated that, “Deep-seated religious beliefs MUST BE CHANGED” (yes, of course there is video of this, go look it up). She will force you to change your beliefs to align with hers, which can only mean that open persecution is on the agenda. If your actions support her winning, you will have helped bring about that persecution, which will destroy souls as people genuflect to the state and turn away from God. The few who do remain faithful will first be fined, then lose their jobs, then charged with a crime, then imprisoned, then murdered. That’s how this works.
Now, those are just the clear and present dangers.  Then we have the long view, wherein Hillary gets to appoint three or four SCOTUS judges who will accelerate the work of the radical activists already on the bench. This won’t be a problem that goes away after four or eight years.  It will be generations.
I don’t want to hear any whining about Trump’s bullshit. He’s a pig, and there is no defending what he said in the 11 year old tape as “locker room talk”. I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms, and boy do I know how to talk dirty, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never joked about being so irresistible that the ladies are lining up and they just love it when I grab them by the pussy. He’s also not very nice, is he? He calls people nasty names, even calls fat girls fat. He made fun of Carly’s face.  He is also a monumental flip flopper, to such an extent that we really have no idea how he would prosecute his agenda except on a very narrow range of issues.  He is an adulterous, twice divorced, twice “remarried”, greedy, amoral, narcissistic pig.
None of this matters. All that matters is that the alternative is the most evil, immoral, corrupt, power hungry narcissistic freedom-crushing psychopath ever to run for president. We are talking Stalinist proportions. And PLEASE don’t think for one second that there are any other alternatives. If you consider any third party or write-in candidate, all you are doing is contributing to a Hillary victory.
Hold your nose if you have to, but get out there and vote.

Yep. And please don’t tell me it’s a metaphor, or that this is just a coincidence mere days before the election. He is simply repeating what he had already made clear in remarks on the U.S. trip last year and at the border city stunt afterwards.

“On the issue of migration more generally, Francis devoted several minutes of the speech to condemning “physical and social walls” that “close in some and exclude others.” In February, following a visit to the border, the pope said in response to a question from a journalist that politicians who propose building walls instead of bridges are “not Christian,” leading to objections from the Trump campaign.
The pope said on Saturday that Christians should not give into the temptation to build walls, even in the face of “hateful and cowardly attacks,” a reference to global terrorism. “Dear Brothers and Sisters,” he said, “all walls fall.”
 
Francis said “mercy is the best antidote against fear” and that it “is much more effective than walls, that barbed wire fences, than alarms and arms, and it is free. It is the gift of God.”…Francis also offered some advice on how to fight terrorism and oppression, saying, “the best antidote is love. Love heals everything.””

No, love is not the best antidote to terrorism. You can’t ‘coexist’ with people who will not rest until you are dead. Refusing to take necessary actions to defend your family and your country is what’s sinful, not the other way around.
Francis is deliberately trying to influence this election.  Clearly, he’s with her.

I would be willing to bet there is a whole lot more.  When you have a group of people who think the law does not apply to them, while at the same time also not believing in any sort of higher moral order, what exactly would stop them from engaging in whatever sort of evil disgusting behavior they wanted? After getting away with shit for 30 years, the gravity of the acts would naturally descend into deeper and deeper depravity as the thrill of the crime, and the thrill of getting away with it, waned with each successive act.
Crimes of a deviant sexual nature are almost certainly part of this as well. Almost certainly. Money can buy you access to whatever you want. Charlie Sheen is an instructive case. His descent reached a point where he had committed every deviant act possible with every girl possible and the girls themselves became unexciting to him, to the point where he had to start banging dudes with breast implants.  Yeah.
My gut tells me whatever is on the Weiner laptop is more deplorable (ha!) than we can possibly imagine, and we already know it involves the Clintons. There is no way, NO WAY, Comey reopens this case unless he personally viewed evidence that was incontrovertible.  It’s also likely he had no choice anyway, because said evidence was about to be leaked either by his own agents or NYPD. I’m sure there are plenty of emails containing state secrets, probably proof of gross financial wrongdoing through the foundation, etc.  However, none of it could be seen as incontrovertible at face value unless PICTURES.
Sort of a Weiner specialty, right?

Wherein Francis once again embraces “bondage of the will” AKA total depravity and ignores the fact that Luther had to destroy Scripture in order to justify his theology.  It’s sort of a big deal.
Nugget number one:

How so, exactly? Was it when Luther took the Scripture he didn’t like and ripped it right out of the bible?  Whole books of Scripture? Or was it when he was adding to or amending verses to change their meaning? Should he have been allowed to tear up the Epistle of St. James, too? He really hated that one, because anything pointing to the fact they we are CULPABLE for our actions contradicts his twisted theology. Francis is also perpetuating the myth that the Church was hiding the bible from the common people for centuries.
Second nugget:

“Through shared hearing of the word of God in the Scriptures, important steps forward have been taken in the dialogue between the Catholic Church and the Lutheran World Federation.”

How so, exactly? We don’t even have the same bible. Theirs is missing the parts that underlie important aspects of Catholic theology (aka TRUTH). Wouldn’t it be a pretty “important step” for them to acknowledge this? As in, “Our founder was so utterly filled with Pride that he dared to desecrate Scripture. This was wrong. We apologize.”
Third nugget:

“Let us ask the Lord that his word may keep us united, for it is a source of nourishment and life; without its inspiration we can do nothing.”

We are NOT united; by their own choice, they remain separated from us. To say we are united is a lie.
Fourth nugget:

“The spiritual experience of Martin Luther challenges us to remember that apart from God we can do nothing…the question of a just relationship with God is the decisive question for our lives.”

Okay, well let’s just focus on Psalm 118 (119), which even the Lutherans have in their bible. Remember, the Lutherans believe we are all ultimately incapable of good works, which first and foremost among good works means obeying the Commandments. Here are the first ten verses of Psalm 118(119):
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that search his testimonies: that seek him with their whole heart. For they that work iniquity, have not walked in his ways. Thou hast commanded thy commandments to be kept most diligently. O! that my ways may be directed to keep thy justifications. Then shall I not be confounded, when I shall look into all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned the judgments of thy justice. I will keep thy justifications: O! do not thou utterly forsake me.  By what doth a young man correct his way? by observing thy words. With my whole heart have I sought after thee: let me not stray from thy commandments.
That’s just the first ten verses.  There are 166 more.
Finally, the fifth nugget:

“With the concept “by grace alone”, (Luther) reminds us that God always takes the initiative, prior to any human response, even as he seeks to awaken that response. The doctrine of justification thus expresses the essence of human existence before God.”

Luther’s doctrine of justification DOES NOT express “the essence of human existence before God.” Hear him in his own words:

These are lies.  Do not unite yourself to them.

I will post shortly on what Francis actually did say, which makes clear he cares nothing for the souls of millions who are walking around with a completely erroneous notion of Justification, which will certainly lead the vast majority of them to Hell. Because when you think God doesn’t even expect you to TRY to obey the Commandments, why would you?
But but but that’s how their poor consciences were formed! How can they be to blame for that? I thought one of the conditions for Mortal Sin was Full Knowledge? These poor Lutherans know not what they do!
EXACTLY. That’s why they need to be faced with the Truth, if you really believe in the Truth. And as I’ve said before, in the age of smartphones when everyone has the sum of all knowledge in the palm of their hands, you really should not plan on pleading Invincible Ignorance at your Particular Judgement. Not a good strategy. While they are at it, maybe they should read up a little on the founder of their false religion.
Anyway, direct rebuttal of the Francis homily tomorrow. For now, here is a partial reposting of my suggestion; a snippet of Truth from 88 years ago, an excerpt from Pius XI, who obviously DID care for souls:

“…The union of Christians can only be promoted by promoting the return to the one true Church of Christ of those who are separated from it, for in the past they have unhappily left it. To the one true Church of Christ, we say, which is visible to all, and which is to remain, according to the will of its Author, exactly the same as He instituted it. During the lapse of centuries, the mystical Spouse of Christ has never been contaminated, nor can she ever in the future be contaminated… For since the mystical body of Christ, in the same manner as His physical body, is one, compacted and fitly joined together, it were foolish and out of place to say that the mystical body is made up of members which are disunited and scattered abroad: whosoever therefore is not united with the body is no member of it, neither is he in communion with Christ its head.

Let them therefore return to their common Father, who, forgetting the insults previously heaped on the Apostolic See, will receive them in the most loving fashion. For if, as they continually state, they long to be united with Us and ours, why do they not hasten to enter the Church, “the Mother and mistress of all Christ’s faithful”? Let them hear Lactantius crying out: “The Catholic Church is alone in keeping the true worship. This is the fount of truth, this the house of Faith, this the temple of God: if any man enter not here, or if any man go forth from it, he is a stranger to the hope of life and salvation. Let none delude himself with obstinate wrangling. For life and salvation are here concerned, which will be lost and entirely destroyed, unless their interests are carefully and assiduously kept in mind.”

Let, therefore, the separated children draw nigh to the Apostolic See, set up in the City which Peter and Paul, the Princes of the Apostles, consecrated by their blood; to that See, We repeat, which is “the root and womb whence the Church of God springs,” not with the intention and the hope that “the Church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth” will cast aside the integrity of the faith and tolerate their errors, but, on the contrary, that they themselves submit to its teaching and government…”
