Things are about to get interesting. MAGA is alive and well, much more so than I would have thought, or would have wanted. It is possible to get over the hump and move on. On the other side, hatred for Trump has not receded, at all. And now, the FBI has conducted a raid on the residence of a former President. I don’t need to know any of the details to know that this is completely unprecedented.

Last week in Arizona, the Trump-endorced candidates swept the GOP primaries. I voted for one of them, Kari Lake, for Governor. But the other offices had much better non-Trump candidates. Not anti-Trump RINOs, mind you, just not endorsed by Trump. They all lost.

There is something else. Lake ran a nearly one-issue campaign: Stolen Election. If there is anything that scares the other side, it’s knowing that we know. They know that despite a 24/7 fake news flood of “unfounded claims of election fraud,” that many citizens know the truth, and we won’t ever forget. So now Lake will go against Katie Hobbs, who was the Secretary of State in 2020, the one who vowed to “count every vote.”

Not sure where all of this is going. But this article below from a few weeks ago has stuck with me. The J6 show trial, the J6 illegal detentions and outrageous sentences, the ongoing demonization of anyone who saw Trump as the lesser evil, or who thought he might have been able to Drain the Swamp or to Lock Her Up… our enemies won’t forget either, so don’t be surprised if they come for you next.

As the Pelosi-Thompson-Cheney circus rolls on in D.C., signals are given that the Democrats have their sights set on more than just the former president.

Obviously, the primary purpose of the pseudo-hearing is twofold: Destroy Trump and keep January Sixth alive, until November.

Recently retired judge Michael Luttig said the quiet part out loud:

Donald Trump and his allies and supporters are still a clear and present danger to American democracy.

The comment harkens back to the McCarthy era hearings and guilt by association. Once a communist always a communist has now turned to ‘Once a Trumper, always a Trumper.’

We can only imagine what lies ahead.

Seventy-four million Americans, committed no crime in voting for Trump, but are now considered to be a threat the country, just as were the McCarthy era communists.

That raises the question; what to do with these 74 million reprobates?

The treatment of the Jan 6ers in D.C. confirms that the Democrats are not interested in following standard legal procedures. Solitary confinement, horrible food, beatings, no showers or shaves, rarely allowed outside, overflowing toilets, cockroaches, no bail, and rare lawyer visits are deemed to be acceptable treatment.

After one considers what was done to President Trump and others, what the Democrats are doing is not unexpected.  So, what will be done to those the Democrats see, not as an opposition, but as enemies of the Democrat State?

Recognize that Jan Sixer defendants, such as Thomas Sibick, are given preferential treatment, while awaiting trial or sentencing, after denouncing their sin of political support for President Trump.

Luttig’s comment, declaring that all who support Trump are in fact a threat to the nation, now lowers the bar to a new level. Seventy-four million is too large a number of people to jail and torture, as is apparently preferred…

Beachfront property.

Econ 101 teaches us that price is driven by supply and demand. If supply is short and demand is high, prices are high. Do you know that old saying, put your money where your mouth is? People don’t spend their money on things they don’t believe in. Said another way, people don’t pay millions of dollars for something they believe will be worthless in a few years.

If global warming is real, and everyone really really believes it is real, a tiny shack on the beach does not cost $2.2MM. A tiny shack on the beach is literally worthless, or at most, it’s only worth whatever value the buyer places on the few short summers he may have the use of it, before it and the whole town is underwater.

Oh, BTW this example is a cheaper one, and not even close to being on the beach, actually:

If everyone really believes global warming is real, this entire town is worthless. People would be selling for pennies on the dollar to get out now. If the elites really believed their Teslas were saving the world, Avalon would be a ghost town.

Keep this in mind when you read that the $740B “Inflation Reduction Act” making its way through Congress this week includes $369B to “fight climate change.” HERE.

What beachfront property says about global warming

Global warming is a crisis no one believes in.  At least, most people don’t believe in it.  The market shows us that.  More technically, people voting in the mortgage market with their money on balance do not believe in global warming.

Sure, I could have started this by pointing out, as many other observers have, that warmists ex-president Barack Obama and billionaire Bill Gates have recently bought low-lying beach properties.  That certainly seems in conflict with what they claim to believe about global warming and rising sea levels.  But Obama and Gates are human beings.  We human being are often inconsistent.  We sometimes support USC football and UCLA basketball.  Some of us root for both the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.  We sometime drink more than we know is good for us.

Another thing that is true about President Obama and Mr. Gates is they are not smarter and are not able to process more information than the rest of us who make up the market.  As of now, interest rates on loans for beachfront properties are no higher than interest rates for loans on other properties, comparing first homes to first homes and vacation homes to vacation homes.  Thus, all of us — i.e., the market — are not concerned that global warming will affect beachfront property values negatively in the next 30 years…

Friday’s update contains stronger messaging, with the CDC now saying “the best way to protect yourself and others is to avoid sex of any kind … while you are sick.” People should especially “avoid touching any rash.”

Biden administration declares monkeypox a public health emergency

WASHINGTON — Amid growing calls from health officials across the country, the Biden administration declared the current monkeypox outbreak to be a public health emergency in the U.S. on Thursday afternoon.

The declaration, which was made by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, comes a little less than two weeks after the World Health Organization designated the outbreak an emergency of international concern.

By issuing a declaration, HHS will be able to take a series of actions including accessing funds set aside for such an emergency as well as appointing personnel to positions directly responding to the emergency. It also gives Health Secretary Xavier Becerra significant flexibility to bend federal rules or waive requirements on government health programs like Medicaid, Medicare and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

“We are prepared to take our response to the next level,” Becerra said on a media call Thursday. “And I ask each American to take monkeypox seriously.”

Yesterday, Project Veritas published a leaked internal FBI document in which the FBI sets out the hallmarks of suspected “militia violent extremists.”  Unsurprisingly, in Joe Biden’s America, those indicia significantly overlap with broadly-held, longstanding conservative values.

In other words, the document is intended to alert agents to the symbols and words associated with “Militia Violent Extremism” (MVE).  The image on the Project Veritas website is smudgy, but Project Veritas helpfully identifies what the FBI tells its agents to be on the lookout for.

A common “symbol” shows “2A” (for Second Amendment) above the silhouette of a pistol.  The FBI handout helpfully explains that “MVEs justify their existence with the Second Amendment, due to the mention of a ‘well regulated Militia,’ as well as the right to bear arms.”

In the section entitled “commonly references historical imagery or quotes,” we are told that the following are symbols of military violence: the Gadsden Flag, Revolutionary War imagery, the Liberty Tree, and the Betsy Ross flag.  All of these are standard historic tropes that have been proudly shown in America for 250 years.  The FBI also contends that caring about Ashli Babbitt is a sign that a person is a potential Militia Violent Extremist.

We Will Worship God Alone

Last week Cardinals worshipped the pagan gods with a turkey bone under the title of “western grandmother” in Canada. Cardinal Manning wrote in 1861, conglomerating numerous saints and Fathers: “Rome shall apostatise from the faith, drive away the Vicar of Christ and return to its ancient paganism… Then the Church shall be scattered, driven into the wilderness, and shall be for a time, as it was in the beginning, invisible hidden in catacombs, in dens, in mountains, in lurking places.”

The prophesy to “drive away the Vicar of Christ” may have a few meanings, found here and here and here (all non-traditional links.)

The Cdl Manning quote above also reminds me of the Holy Maccabees of the Old Testament (the feast in the 1962 calendar today) who even saw some Jewish priests of their day bow down to the Greek gods of their invaders. They decided not to follow their bad priests but to hold to the Faith of their Fathers, even if such true traditional worship led to exile.

So also, we will not follow anyone in the Catholic hierarchy worshiping the “gods” of North America which Scripture simply names as “demons.” (Ps 94/95.) In rejection of any apostates worshiping “Western Grandmother,” we will worship the one True God, the Blessed Trinity, for Christ crucified has given us knowledge and ability to worship God, as only the Redemptive act of the Son of God could open for us.

Thank you Jesus, for dying and resurrecting for us. We worship You Alone.
