Newly released documents showed the CDC planned to use phone location data to monitor schools and churches, and wanted to use the data for many non-COVID-19 purposes, too.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) bought access to location data harvested from tens of millions of phones in the United States to perform analysis of compliance with curfews, track patterns of people visiting K-12 schools, and specifically monitor the effectiveness of policy in the Navajo Nation, according to CDC documents obtained by Motherboard. The documents also show that although the CDC used COVID-19 as a reason to buy access to the data more quickly, it intended to use it for more-general CDC purposes.
Location data is information on a device’s location sourced from the phone, which can then show where a person lives, works, and where they went. The sort of data the CDC bought was aggregated—meaning it was designed to follow trends that emerge from the movements of groups of people—but researchers have repeatedly raised concerns with how location data can be deanonymized and used to track specific people.
The documents reveal the expansive plan the CDC had last year to use location data from a highly controversial data broker. SafeGraph, the company the CDC paid $420,000 for access to one year of data, includes Peter Thiel and the former head of Saudi intelligence among its investors. Google banned the company from the Play Store in June.
The CDC used the data for monitoring curfews, with the documents saying that SafeGraph’s data “has been critical for ongoing response efforts, such as hourly monitoring of activity in curfew zones or detailed counts of visits to participating pharmacies for vaccine monitoring.” The documents date from 2021…

Robert Jackson has been a doctor for 35 years. In his practice there are over 5,000 patients, around 3,000 got vaccinated with the COVID vaccines.
What makes him unusual is that he is not afraid to speak out about what he is seeing in his patients. This is because he’s too valuable to fire. He’s never seen anything like this in his career.
The results are stunning: 40% reported a vaccine injury; 5% are still injured.
Nobody can argue his numbers are anecdotes because they were confirmed in the EULAR database and published in the BMJ: 37% had adverse events and 4.4% of patients had a flare up of their disease after vaccination.
Also, he’s had 12 deaths following the jab. Normally in his patient base he’ll see 1 or 2 deaths a year. So if there is a question of whether all-cause mortality goes up or down after the jabs rolled out, his numbers make it crystal clear. This is aggregated data over dozens of doctors: a .33% excess mortality rate among his patients after the vaccines rolled out (i.e., the vaccines likely killed 1 in 300 people in his patient base). However, this is likely an undercount because he’s not the primary care physician.
This suggests a kill rate many times higher than the .2% we estimated from VAERS. However, these are deaths in rheumatology patients, so this may account for the higher estimate. But we are in the same ballpark as the death estimate from VAERS.
Of course, there COULD be an “unknown” thing that killed all these people. It would have to be massive and injected into all these patients to cause the symptoms observed. Wonder what else fits that description? Nobody will tell us.

Anyone who claims that the idea that Pope Benedict’s resignation was invalid is CRAZY TALK has a real problem on their hands. Wanna know why? Because Canon Law itself says it’s not crazy. In fact it’s so not crazy, Canon Law tells us exactly all the different not crazy ways that a resignation can be invalid. First of all Canon 188, which appears in the section of the code titled LOSS OF ECCLESIASTICAL OFFICE:
Can. 188 A resignation made out of grave fear that is inflicted unjustly or out of malice, substantial error, or simony is invalid by the law itself.
A resigning pope thinking he retained 0.0000001% of anything whatsoever “papal” would be in Substantial Error. Is there evidence Pope Benedict still sees himself papal in any way?
Then as a backstop, we have Canon 332.2, which deals specifically with the requirements for validity should the Roman Pontiff resign his OFFICE:
Canon 332§2. If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his office, it is required for validity that the resignation is made freely and properly manifested but not that it is accepted by anyone.

Canon 331, 332, 333 and 334, in the section on the Roman Pontiff and the Supreme Authority of the Church discusses Munus; never does it discuss Ministerium. Munus, only Munus. And it does so in every relevant paragraph, Munus.
What did Pope Benedict XVI specifically resign, when the moment came to write the one sentence that mattered? Ministerium.
And then what did he do after he gave the Ministerium to another?
HE REMAINED EXACTLY AS HE WAS – FIRMLY AND FOREVER, SAFELY WITHIN THE FOLD OF ST. PETER.
There he is. No one cares. You don’t care. Who does? But, again, there he is, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI “emeritus” (first “emeritus” ever … sources?). Wearing white. In the Vatican. Giving Apostolic Blessings, from time to time. Exercising his Petrine Ministry in a new way, in prayer and contemplation.
If he is not Pope, if he is not in substantial error … then why do you tolerate this outrage. His presence is blasphemy because you cannot have two visible Holy Fathers in the same space, the same world at the same time.
That is what bothers me as much as anything – everyone says it is all good and right and properly done. But when you point out the obvious problem living there in Mater Ecclesiae, wearing the Papal white … well …. he’s just a crazy old man.
Not good enough. If he resigned, then he is Bishop Ratzinger and he should be living in Bavaria playing his piano with his cat; writing books and giving conferences. All abdicated Popes have done some variation on that through time. Because they are no longer Pope. And there can be but one. Please explain to my conscience why I see two.

The Supreme Court has voted to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision, according to an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito circulated inside the court and obtained by POLITICO.
The draft opinion is a full-throated, unflinching repudiation of the 1973 decision which guaranteed federal constitutional protections of abortion rights and a subsequent 1992 decision – Planned Parenthood v. Casey – that largely maintained the right. “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Alito writes.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” he writes in the document, labeled as the “Opinion of the Court.” “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
Deliberations on controversial cases have in the past been fluid. Justices can and sometimes do change their votes as draft opinions circulate and major decisions can be subject to multiple drafts and vote-trading, sometimes until just days before a decision is unveiled. This Sunday, April 24th, we celebrate the Octave day of the feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On the Cross, Christ offered Himself as a saving Sacrifice for our salvation. In the Resurrection, God solemnly testifies that this Sacrifice of Calvary (which is renewed and re-presented upon the altar in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass) is supremely acceptable to Him and is fully received by Him. By gloriously raising the crucified and immolated Body of Christ from the death He suffered for us fallen children of Adam and Eve, God manifests that He has ratified the mediation of our Great High Priest Who offered the Sacrifice as the ultimate Head of the human race; He has accepted Christ’s infinitely Precious Blood that was poured out in immolation and death as a most precious Oblation of loving adoration and a surpassing expiation for our sins; and He has received those for whom the Sacrifice was offered, namely us and the whole human race. In and through Christ, God has embraced the fallen and broken human race; all who freely subject themselves to Christ and obey Him are made entirely pleasing to God, fully accepted by Him in an eternal embrace of divine mercy and love, assured of ultimate victory over suffering and death. In a certain sense, we are already risen with Christ: spiritually and morally risen in our souls, even if not yet physically risen in our bodies. These are the deep foundations of our hope as Christians. It does not mean that we do not have to labor and suffer in this world but it does give our souls abundant access to the infinite power and mercy of God through our divine Savior Jesus Christ.
Today we are surrounded by much suffering, loss, chaos, and sickness, and we are reminded of our own death, which will eventually meet each one of us. The world asks itself, what are we to do? Where are we to turn for a truly adequate remedy and for the restoration of true peace and a perfection of happiness that has been lost since the fall of our ancient parents? To Him Who alone can truly say “I am the Lord thy Healer” (Exodus 15:26)…to Jesus Christ Crucified and Risen.
But how is the Resurrection of Christ and the divine hope that it inspires affect our life? We must first remember that human suffering and death have their radical root in sin—in the fall of the human race from right order with God…the culture around us today does not understand or admit this fact of reality. Some evils can befall us as a result of our personal sins. However, many sufferings are not the result of one’s personal faults, but ultimately come from the profound disorder introduced into a world that was created by God as good, pleasant, and beautiful—a true Paradise—but is now very deeply wounded by the sin of our first parents, Adam and Eve, and by the negative accumulating effects of countless sins throughout the ages, as souls turn away from God’s perfect order.
Sin, as the obstacle to right order and friendship with God, is therefore the source of suffering. To expiate sin in the souls of fallen creatures is to eradicate the ultimate root of their suffering and to free them from the very source of death. As the Apostles testify, through His self-oblation on the Cross, Christ “is the expiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). “For there is one God, and one mediator of God and men, the man Christ Jesus: Who gave himself a redemption for all” (1 Timothy 2:5-6). “Christ died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit” (1 Peter 3:18). By freely taking our suffering and death upon Himself, our Savior became the source of our healing from sin and the suffering and death that are the sad consequences of sin. He consummated on the Cross the work of our redemption, transforming human suffering and mortality for man’s forgiveness and redemption through the grace and love that were in His Soul in His voluntary self-sacrifice for us. When redeemed from sin, a soul makes the first step towards the eventual recovery of the perfectly ordered state in which there will be no suffering—Heaven, the ultimate object of our hope.
Through the Cross of Christ, we receive the redemption of our souls, restoring right order towards God and our neighbor—even as we await the final healing of our bodies in the Resurrection. Therefore we have a sure source of interior consolation and strength in this sure hope, if we persevere. “Rejoicing in hope, be patient in tribulation” (Romans 12:12).
However, Christ’s redeeming work and victory on the Cross is not only an event of the past: the saving fruits of that true tree of life continue to powerfully operate in hearts for the conversion of those in sin and their restoration to the divine life from which they have fallen. As members of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Church, we are also called to cooperate with Christ our Head and great High Priest in the mystery of His saving Passion for the conversion and salvation of others.

(Just Facts) – Near the top of its home page, the New York Times has published an essay by three professors about a “highly effective” technology to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in “high-risk environments” like nursing homes and places prone to “superspreader events.”
Based on more than 500 hours of research, the institute Just Facts already identified the same technology in September 2021 and promoted it to scholars, public officials, journalists, and commentators. However, most of them deliberately ignored the research while Big Tech even suppressed it, thus costing countless lives.
The technology, called ultraviolet air disinfection, has been proven to stop the spread of contagious respiratory diseases in settings like schools and hospitals for more than 80 years. It is so effective that when it was used in a wing of a California VA hospital during the Asian influenza epidemic of 1958—not a single patient caught the disease. In contrast, the epidemic struck the other wing of the same hospital “with explosive force,” producing a “severe, prostrating illness” among 19% of the patients.
The professors who wrote the Times essay were well-qualified to analyze this issue, as they specialize in “environmental health and how to prevent the airborne transmission of diseases like Covid.” They include:
The scholars emphasize that ultraviolet air disinfection “can end large superspreader events and make public events and dining safer for everyone” and then finish their essay by asking, “What are we waiting for?”
The answer to that rhetorical question is appalling and contains broad lessons that can prevent an enormous amount of harm from COVID-19 and other scourges going forward.

At that time, Jesus said to the Pharisees: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.”
Today is Good Shepherd Sunday. Jesus Christ, Creator of the Universe, is the Shepherd of your soul. He knows you. Do you know Him? How well do you know Him? Are you actively pursuing a relationship with Him?
Look at that headline. Jesus compares His knowledge of us to the way the Father knows Him. That certainly makes sense; He’s omniscient. But look what comes next: He compares the way we should know Him as to the way He knows the Father. Would you dare compare your love and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the way He loves and knows the Father? Well, folks, setting a high bar for a reason. We can’t pursue perfection without knowing what perfect is.
Our Lord desires us to come and visit Him very much. He speaks very softly, and you will never hear him if you don’t get the noise out of your life. TV, internet, and whatever else you’re wasting time with… half the battle is just getting out of your own way. He has the power, He sends the grace; you just need to make yourself available. When you feel the urge to go be with Him, and then Satan arrays a gauntlet to keep you away, know to drop everything and go.
We are now into the month of May. Perhaps you had a May Crowning today. Ask the Blessed Mother for help in building your relationship with her Son. Plead that she be by His side, as you dialogue, to encourage the conversation. Pray to know Him better, so you can hear Him better.
