The USCCB, as a client of USAID, must follow the Administrative Procedures Act in a dispute. Instead some bishops filed a lawsuit. Consequently they lost their client status. In other words, they get no more of our tax dollars to aid and abet their treasonous crimes against the people.

Do NOT be fooled. As much as 74% of Catholic Charities revenues went to salaries and benefits for employees, another percentage to illegals, leaving only a smaller percentage to help poor American citizens.

The corrupt and anti-Catholic USCCB just defunded itself!!

Through their pervert abuse and cover up, and through locking faithful Catholics out of God’s churches, they already lost the financial support of the Faithful.

Now they lost the taxpayer’s money train.

State Dept. terminates USCCB migration funds

The State Department canceled a contract with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops on Thursday, likely bringing to a halt a nationwide effort organized by the USCCB to provide resettlement services for refugees to the United States.

In a Feb. 26 letter, U.S. State Department comptroller Joseph Kouba told the USCCB that its financial agreement for refugee resettlement “is immediately terminated as of Feb. 27, 2025,” because the grant “no longer effectuates agency priorities.”

“Effective immediately upon receipt of this Notice of Termination, the Recipient must stop all work on the program and not incur any new costs after the effective date cited above. Payment requests for legitimate costs incurred prior to this notification are allowable.”

The government’s decision came after the USCCB filed Feb. 18 a lawsuit which challenged a federal decision to suspend federal funding for refugee assistance programs administered by various Catholic Charities outlets across the country, with the USCCB distributing funds and serving as coordinator of the programs.

There is a mysterious line from Our Lady of Akita which continuously haunts me.  If what happened in Akita, Japan is a genuine apparition, then the Mother of God said the following: “The only arms [weapons] which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son.”  I believe that means the Rosary and the Sign of the Cross with be the best (and possibly only) prayer weapons during a certain dark time of Church history which would probably come upon man in the 21st century.

Many Catholics believe Akita is the rosetta stone to understanding Fatima.  If true, the Mother of God appeared to a deaf nun named Sr. Agnes Sasagawa for several apparitions and locutions (yes, miraculous since she was deaf.)  On the 13th of October 1973 (the same year abortion was legalized in the USA and only a few years after the end of Vatican II) Sr. Agnes claims Mary said the following to her:

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres… churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”

Many people believe this is upon us with the current scandals in the Church reaching fever-pitch as never before.  But right before that warning, Sr. Agnes said Our Lady warned even more specifically:

“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”

Could this mean nuclear war?  Could this mean most Catholics would be left without the sacraments?  It seems to say that the only prayer for many Catholics will become the Rosary and the Sign of the Cross. That seems to imply either a loss of civilization or valid sacraments or both.

But perhaps the message is not to depress us so much as to prepare us.   It is great to go to weekly confession, but we must be spiritually prepared to not need it.  It is great to go to daily Mass, but we may have to become spiritually prepared to not even have weekly Mass.  (I’m not saying I want any of these things, of course, but it appears such a punishment could be upon us if Akita is a valid apparition.)

If such is the case, then we shouldn’t mope about but rather we must maintain great courage and hope that the Rosary itself will then bring down the necessary graces for perseverance in this time of Church history.  This is because it seems to me that never in any Marian apparition in 2,000 years have we ever heard a warning like this:   “The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son.”

I assume that is the sign of the cross, so we should get good at that too. And by “good,” I mean slow, not fast.

Catholic Charities: Insurrection As Charity

Below is the flyer distributed by Catholic Charities via diocesan churches in February. It speaks for itself. My local parish ran it in the weekly bulletin early in the month. I asked the pastor whether he had included the flyer at his own initiative. Or was it a diktat from the New York archdiocese?

I hoped it had been obligatory. But, no. It was the pastor’s own decision to broadcast it for the benefit of any parishioners who had reason to make use of it.

Herewith:

The flyer was bilingual, printed in both English and Spanish. My parish added an addendum of its own:

Impacting immigrants. The wording skirts the truth. Immigrants are not the targets of ICE. They are lawful applicants for entry into the country. The only people “impacted” by the executive order are illegal migrants—law-breaking aliens, to be precise.

It does not to occur to enough churchmen that illegal migrants are, in effect, thieves. They are stealing resources from American citizens. Perhaps this is because good men, who themselves live on donations, are habituated to seeing the United States as the ultimate donor? I dislike the thought. But I cannot shake it.

The Manhattan Institute estimates that that every new illegal immigrant has an average net fiscal burden of about $130,000. The study finds that immigrants without a high school diploma who arrive in the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 24 – the profile “most commonly represented among immigrants who entered the country unlawfully,” – can receive $332,000 in taxpayer-provided benefits over their lifetime, including healthcare and other welfare program benefits. The report also details that “the border crisis is expected to cost $1.15 trillion over the lifetime of the new immigrants who entered the country unlawfully, overstayed a visa, or were paroled.”

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that the 1.1 million illegal aliens granted parole by the Biden-Harris Administration between January 2021 and February 2023 may become “qualified aliens” with a $3 billion per year cost in welfare benefits…

There are a lot of different opinions about what is happening in Ukraine.

Two things I know:

1: Putin is a serious man; a man who knows Russian history and cares about Russian sovereignty and power.

2: Biden is a corrupt and unserious man; a senile man; a puppet President illegally installed, most likely controlled by bureaucratic Deep State actors and the human stain known as Barack Hussein Obama. Biden cares nothing for America, only for his own wealth, comfort, pleasures.

This is a unique, in my opinion compelling, perspective on what is happening in Ukraine. Putin is not dumb. I am withholding judgement on why he is doing what he is doing … but my suspicions lie with this thread.

If this is true, it puts a different light on this potentially cataclysmic conflict. And if the world’s leaders, including most in the West, have committed the crimes against humanity I think they have committed; if their plans are what I think they are (crystallized in the despicable personae of Bill Gates) … coming judgement transcends human into the realm of Divine.

These events are related, not disconnected. The crimes we have committed (Civil and Catholic; State and Church) are too massive to go unpunished (from a Divine perspective). It is coming to a head. We are living actors of 1914 all over again.

It is certain that a government in which 51 intelligence officials would lie to the American people to steer an election^[2] is not above attempting to steer a conclave. It is equally certain that a government obsessed with advancing transgender themes and abortion on demand would not be above meddling with a conclave if doing so could somehow advance their agenda…

We believe it to be the responsibility of loyal and informed United States Catholics to petition our government to authorize an investigation into these critical questions. Catholics throughout the world expect this of us. This open letter will be followed up with requests for declassification of general categories of documents and release of the same under the Freedom of Information Act…

GOSPEL Matt. 16:13-19

At that time, Jesus came into the quarters of Caesarea Philippi: and he asked his disciples, saying: “Whom do men say that the Son of man is?” But they said: “Some John the Baptist, and other some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets.” Jesus saith to them:”But whom do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said: “Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God.”

And Jesus answering said to him: “Blessed art thou, Simon BarJona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven. And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.”

First things first. Notice how Jesus insists on an answer, and Peter, having made use of his intellect to discern the reality in front of him, gives an answer. It is interesting, given that Peter was “Illiterate and ignorant” (Acts 4:13), notice what doesn’t happen: Jesus does NOT instruct him to go get the opinion of more “learned men”… not the Sadducees, nor Pharisees, nor high priests, nor the Sanhedrin.

“Who do YOU say that I am?”

Reminds me of our old friend, canon 748.1:

Can. 748 §1. All persons are bound to seek the truth in those things which regard God and his Church and by virtue of divine law are bound by the obligation and possess the right of embracing and observing the truth which they have come to know.

Can I get an Amen?

So Peter in Matt 16 is now destined to receive the keys, and the power to bind and loose, which necessarily comes with the following protections: “But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.” (Luke 22:32) This is why true popes CANNOT propose error as truth, cannot promulgate heresy in the Magisterium, cannot lead the faithful astray with lie after pernicious lie. If a true pope were able to do any of those things, it would make Our Lord a liar in Luke 22:32. Pick a side.

Furthermore, we can deduce the reality of Supernatural divine protection even without the Scripture. If Our Lord was going to leave His Church in the hands of mere men, of course it would need to be He Himself backstopping their dimmed rational intellects and concupiscence, through the negative protection of the Holy Ghost. He could not possibly bind Himself to Peter without this guarantee. Does it really seem like the deployment of that mechanism is happening right now?

If not, why not?

May each one of us, even dimwitted laymen like myself, take heart in being questioned directly by Our Lord to search for truth, by scrutinizing the evidence. Canon 748.1 reminds us that it is not a mere suggestion, but rather a moral duty, for ALL PERSONS. If it appears impossible that Bergoglio is true pope of the Catholic Church, Vicar of Christ on earth, then you are duty-bound to research how his usurpation could have come about. Formal pronouncements from those with proper authority will come later. But first, the truth must out, as it always does.

MIRACLE ON ICE

It happened on a Friday afternoon. Puck drop was at 5pm, and it wasn’t on TV.  There was no 24/7 coverage of the Olympics back then. ABC had petitioned to move the game to 8pm Eastern, but the Russians complained that would make it a ridiculous hour in the motherland. When ABC finally rolled tape in prime time, they didn’t even show the whole game, but a condensed version.

This was the era of strict non-professional participation. There were no NHL players allowed. There were also no Europeans/Russians allowed in the NHL, so they were all playing for their national teams. Imagine today having all the best Russians and putting them against a bunch of college kids. That is why this was called a miracle.

There was still unfinished business. That would come two days later, Sunday afternoon,with the Americans scoring three unanswered goals in the third period to beat Finland for the gold medal. Enjoy.
