St. Charles Lwanga and Companions, martyred on this day 137 years ago for refusing to participate in sodomy

“Charles was one of twenty-two Ugandan martyrs who converted from paganism. He was baptized November 1885, a year before his death, and became a moral leader. He was the chief of the royal pages and was considered the strongest athlete of the court. He was also known as “the most handsome man of the Kingdom of the Uganda.” He instructed his friends in the Catholic Faith and he personally baptized boy pages.

“He inspired and encouraged his companions to remain chaste and faithful. He protected his companions, ages 13-30, from the immoral acts and homosexual demands of the Babandan ruler, Mwanga.

“Mwanga was a superstitious pagan king who originally was tolerant of Catholicism. However, his chief assistant, Katikiro, slowly convinced him that Christians were a threat to his rule. The premise was if these Christians would not bow to him, nor make sacrifices to their pagan god, nor pillage, massacre, nor make war, what would happen if his whole kingdom converted to Catholicism?

“When Charles was sentenced to death, he seemed very peaceful, one might even say, cheerful. He was to be executed by being burned to death. While the pyre was being prepared, he asked to be untied so that he could arrange the sticks. He then lay down upon them. When the executioner said that Charles would be burned slowly to death, Charles replied by saying that he was very glad to be dying for the True Faith. He made no cry of pain but just twisted and moaned, “Katonda! (O my God!).” He was burned to death by Mwanga’s order on this day, June 3, 1886. Charles is the Patron of the African Youth of Catholic Action. The photograph below of the men was taken a year before their martyrdom. St. Charles is number 13.”

From today’s Mass (NO):

R. (9ab) The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart.
The command of the LORD is clear,
enlightening the eye.
R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
The ordinances of the LORD are true,
all of them just.
R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
Sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.
R. The precepts of the Lord give joy to the heart.

“The Queen of All Vices”

Pride

Pride is the excessive love of one’s own excellence. It is ordinarily accounted one of the seven capital sinsSt. Thomas, however, endorsing the appreciation of St. Gregory, considers it the queen of all vices, and puts vainglory in its place as one of the deadly sins. In giving it this pre-eminence he takes it in a most formal and complete signification. He understands it to be that frame of mind in which a man, through the love of his own worth, aims to withdraw himself from subjection to Almighty God, and sets at naught the commands of superiors. It is a species of contempt of God and of those who bear his commission. Regarded in this way, it is of course mortal sin of a most heinous sort. Indeed St. Thomas rates it in this sense as one of the blackest of sins. By it the creature refuses to stay within his essential orbit; he turns his back upon God, not through weakness or ignorance, but solely because in his self-exaltation he is minded not to submit. His attitude has something Satanic in it, and is probably not often verified in human beings. A less atrocious kind of pride is that which imples one to make much of oneself unduly and without sufficient warrant, without however any disposition to cast off the dominion of the Creator. This may happen, according to St. Gregory, either because a man regards himself as the source of such advantages as he may discern in himself, or because, whilst admitted that God has bestowed them, he reputes this to have been in response to his own merits, or because he attributes to himself gifts which he has not; or, finally, because even when these are real he unreasonably looks to be put ahead of others. Supposing the conviction indicated in the first two instances to be seriously entertained, the sin would be a grievous one and would have the added guilt of heresy. Ordinarily, however, this erroneous persuasion does not exist; it is the demeanour that is reprehensible. The last two cases generally speaking are not held to constitute grave offences. This is not true, however, whenever a man’s arrogance is the occasion of great harm to another, as, for instance, his undertaking the duties of a physician without the requisite knowledge. The same judgment is to be rendered when pride has given rise to such temper of soul that in the pursuit of its object one is ready of anything, even mortal sin. Vainglory, ambition, and presumption are commonly enumerated as the offspring vices of pride, because they are well adapted to serve its inordinate aims. Of themselves they are venial sins unless some extraneous consideration puts them in the ranks of grievous transgressions. It should be noted that presumption does not here stand for the sin against hope. It means the desire to essay what exceeds one’s capacity.

YouTube reverses policy, will allow election denial

via Yahoo News:

YouTube announced Friday it is reversing prior policy and will now allow for content denying the validity of the 2020 presidential election and other elections and spreading false claims about voter fraud.

The platform said in a blog post that effective immediately, it will stop removing content that shares false claims of “widespread fraud, errors, or glitches” from the 2020 election and other elections.

YouTube originally implemented its policy to remove content spreading election denial in December 2020…

When nearly every “ballot” that comes in after 8pm on election night goes to one candidate, you damn well better have a talking point for that

On November 3rd, 2020, most of us went to bed fairly confident that everything was going well, perhaps even better than planned. The Florida landslide was astonishing, and it bode very well for the nation. On Wednesday morning, as Trump’s big lead had vanished overnight in most of the swing states, I heard three different commentators on three different fake news networks utter nearly identical narratives to describe was occurring. Here, let Wiki explain it:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_shift_(politics)

It seemed strange to me, being no spring chicken, that I had never heard of such a thing. Yet every commentator and “election expert” was spouting this in strikingly similar terms, as if reading from a script. It’s settled election science! Moreover, there is zero chance this can be an established fact, because this is the first time a general election has been contested largely through mail-in ballots due to corona… which puts corona under even more scrutiny.

Now, wiki has this blockchain feature where you can go back in time and review every edit that was ever made to an article. See the “View history” button at the top right? Click on that, and it will show line by line every edit. Scroll down and click the link at bottom left that says “oldest.”

This will take you to the very beginning, the day the article was first created on wiki. Any guess as to when this “well established” political dynamic of Red Mirage/Blue Shift was first invented? How about 1 August 2020…

Just one more thing. Remember “14 Days to Flatten the Curve?” Remember how this was how they got everyone to shut everything down, go into lockdown, and start this entire spiral? “We have to follow the science, we can’t risk overwhelming the hospitals, this is well-established epidemiology, dammit, you’re just selfish and want to kill grandma.”

When do you think this well-established scientific fact was invented? How about 12 March 2020:

“Those unashamed of violating divine and natural law are slaves of this never sufficiently execrated depravity.”

The quote is from St. Peter Canisius, Doctor of the Church. Out of an abundance of charity, he did not mince words when delivering the truth. He didn’t build bridges. He would have abhorred the Church of Nice. He understood that charity, justice, and yes, MERCY, demands that we deliver the unadulterated truth to sinners, for their benefit. As a Doctor of the Church, his teachings are considered part of the Magisterium. Consider also, it is not only the sodomites who are condemned, but equally so their enablers. Maybe someone can send this to Mark Wahlberg.

“Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. And as they liked not to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate sense, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness, full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers, Detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents. Foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy. Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.” -Romans 1:24-32

(June is the perfect month to show that last verse to friends and family to help them understand they are risking eternal hellfire merely for being enablers, for consenting to the sodomy even if not partaking. -nvp ’23)

Sodomy: The Never Sufficiently Execrated Depravity

https://www.barnhardt.biz/2022/04/27/sodomy-the-never-sufficiently-execrated-depravity/

Today is the feast of St. Peter Canisius, Doctor the The Church.

“As the Sacred Scripture says, the Sodomites were wicked and exceedingly sinful. Saint Peter and Saint Paul condemn this nefarious and depraved sin. In fact, the Scripture denounces this enormous indecency thus: ‘The scandal of Sodomites and Gomorrhans has multiplied and their sins have become grave beyond measure.’ So the angels said to just Lot, who totally abhorred the depravity of the Sodomites: ‘Let us leave this city….’ Holy Scripture does not fail to mention the causes that led the Sodomites, and can also lead others, to this most grievous sin. In fact, in Ezechiel we read: ‘Behold this was the iniquity of Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and abundance, and the idleness of her, and of her daughters: and they did not put forth their hand to the needy, and the poor. And they were lifted up, and committed abominations before me; and I took them away as thou hast seen’ (Ezech. 16: 49-50).

Those unashamed of violating divine and natural law are slaves of this never sufficiently execrated depravity.”

-St. Peter Canisius, Summa Doctrina Christianae, III a/b, p. 455

Note what St. Peter Canisius says here quoting Ezechiel: that the CAUSES that LED to this most grievous sin (sexual perversion) are, in a nutshell, a lack or absence of Charity.  Sexual perversion is a DERIVATIVE PATHOLOGY. It doesn’t “just happen”.  You have to have the self-purgation of love from the soul FIRST.  Then the sexual perversion follows.  This is why there is no such thing as a “psycho-spiritually healthy” sex pervert.  Sexual perversion in any form is, by definition, a monstrosity. Yes, MONSTROSITY.  This is why there is no such thing as a “benign” sodomite.  Because of the antecedent pathology of lovelessness (aka Diabolical Narcissism), ALL SODOMITES, BOTH MALE AND FEMALE, ARE A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER to others, but most especially children.

And, this quote from St. Peter Canisius should probably be framed and hanging in every home:

“Better that only a few Catholics should be left, staunch and sincere in their religion, than that they should, remaining many, desire as it were, to be in collusion with the Church’s enemies and in conformity with the open foes of our faith.”

Lori Lightfoot is now a Harvard professor who will teach “Health Policy, and Leadership,” okay?

Lori Lightfoot is the first Chicago mayor in 40 years to lose re-election.

She will now assume a teaching role at Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Ironically, Lightfoot will teach a course titled “Health Policy, and Leadership.”

While there are worse choices to educate students about leadership, we can’t think of one off hand.

Nonetheless, Michelle A. Williams, Dean of Faculty at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, considers Lightfoot an impressive addition:

“I’m delighted to welcome Mayor Lightfoot to Harvard Chan School as a Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow. As mayor, she showed strong leadership in advocating for health, equity, and dignity for every resident of Chicago, from her declaration of structural racism as a public health crisis to her innovative initiative to bring mental health services to libraries and shelters. And of course, she led the city through the COVID-19 pandemic.”

We hope her students agree with what she preaches. If not, she might just call them racist. Or sexist. That’s, after all, how she handled her election defeat earlier this year.

“I’m a black woman in America. Of course, [I lost],” Lightfoot said of her L.

“I am a black woman,” she repeated. “Let’s not forget. Certain folks, frankly, don’t support us in leadership roles.”

Blaming her skin color and gender combinations was wise. Especially compared to citing the actual reasons Chicago voted her out.

Such as an explosion of crime under her leadership, as well as a disastrous Covid response and a population exodus.

She also showed a precarious eye for the truth:

Yeah. It was the racism and sexism that led to her political downfall.

Anyway, she is about to teach Harvard students about “leadership.” Though if students prefer someone else, they are in luck. Former CNN host Brian Stelter also teaches at Harvard. As does schmuck former Mayor of New York City Bill de Blasio

As Thomas Sowell once said, “The road to hell is paved with Ivy League degrees.”

Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

June is the month of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Let us pray.

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy most Sacred Heart.

Many indeed have never known Thee; many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy sacred Heart.

Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to Thy Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.

Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism, and refuse not to draw them into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy towards the children of the race, once Thy chosen people: of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life.

Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: “Praise be to the divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor for ever.” Amen.
