The first reading in the Novus Ordo for today is Proverbs 8:22-31, and I find it totally sublime. The Triune Godhead is eternal, and here He is talking about Himself, through the hand of King Solomon. Blessed feast, everyone.
Thus says the wisdom of God:
“The LORD possessed me, the beginning of his ways,
the forerunner of his prodigies of long ago;
from of old I was poured forth,
at the first, before the earth.
When there were no depths I was brought forth,
when there were no fountains or springs of water;
before the mountains were settled into place,
before the hills, I was brought forth;
while as yet the earth and fields were not made,
nor the first clods of the world.
“When the Lord established the heavens I was there,
when he marked out the vault over the face of the deep;
when he made firm the skies above,
when he fixed fast the foundations of the earth;
when he set for the sea its limit,
so that the waters should not transgress his command;
then was I beside him as his craftsman,
and I was his delight day by day,
playing before him all the while,
playing on the surface of his earth;
and I found delight in the human race.”

at3 And when he was sitting on mount Olivet, the disciples came to him privately, saying: Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the world? 4 And Jesus answering, said to them: Take heed that no man seduce you: 5 For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ: and they will seduce many.
6 And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be pestilences, and famines, and earthquakes in places: 8 Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall put you to death: and you shall be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be scandalized: and shall betray one another: and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall seduce many. 12 And because iniquity hath abounded, the charity of many shall grow cold. 13 But he that shall persevere to the end, he shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come. 15 When therefore you shall see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place: he that readeth let him understand.
16 Then they that are in Judea, let them flee to the mountains: 17 And he that is on the housetop, let him not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 And he that is in the field, let him not go back to take his coat. 19 And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck in those days. 20 But pray that your flight be not in the winter, or on the sabbath.
21 For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be. 22 And unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the sake of the elect those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. 24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. 25 Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.
26 If therefore they shall say to you: Behold he is in the desert, go ye not out: Behold he is in the closets, believe it not. 27 For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. 28 Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together. 29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven shall be moved: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all tribes of the earth mourn: and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power and majesty. (Mt. 24)

It is never a bad time to read the 24th and 25th chapters of St. Matthew’s Gospel, but they seem especially appropriate today. The riots in Los Angeles and other cities, clearly well-funded and coordinated, are ominous reminders of the appetite for evil and destruction held by so many Godless, or worse, people. On the other hand, the military mobilization for the parade announced for Saturday also triggers warnings. Existing on the internet, even for the small-fry blogger, introduces one to all of the current “rumors of wars”, so to speak.
You want the Q theory? The parade is a blind to allow the culmination of the glorious movie so-long planned out by the guardians of civilization to take down the satanic cabal of globalist pedophiles. We just have to sit back and watch. Of course, I was bid to sit and watch four years ago as the presidency was stolen by that same cabal.
So there’s that.
Naomi Wolf and Alex Jones are teaming up to predict Bolshevik revolution along with a mass-casualty event. Nice. I actually think they make a great couple.
The larger point being this: a godless society reaps what it sows. We are near the end, if one takes the proper eschatological perspective. We are two thousand years on from the Incarnation, life, passion, death, resurrection and ascension of the Messias. Our days dwindle and one day will at last be the last day. These times are bad indeed. Whether or not the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart comes first or after (and it will come), we shall see that horrible day when antichrist assumes power. It hasn’t happened yet, and that time will make this seem like Xanadu.
We have a duty: love Christ, live for Him, die for Him, believe in Him and belong to His Church. Against the forces, natural and preternatural, that assail us we do not have the strength to win. We have to ask for the strength of Christ. With it, and the help of the heavenly hosts, we cannot fail.
Stay alert always. Have humility and have confidence. Cling to Our Lady.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Before now, only through a lone Facebook post or The Okie Traditionalist’s blog would you learn that Tulsa’s diocesan Latin Mass is being culled. When the purge is complete, and Traditional liturgy is stripped from the city, the leftover undesirables can herd themselves into either the FSSP on the edge of town, possibly a once-a-month TLM parish 45 minutes away in Wagoner, the monastery that’s more than an hour away, or off to the SSPX—if they DARE—in Oklahoma City. Whatever happens to these people, the point is that Tulsa Trads are pariahs, and they will now have their community destroyed.
This signals a major milestone for the Synodal Church in Tulsa, so congratulations to them. This was over a decade-long quest to utterly annihilate the legacy of the infamous Bishop Slattery, who defiantly sought the faith of his fathers and reintroduced Traditional Catholicism to the city. And now, with his death last September, and a new Pope Leo XIV—ever-ready to carry on with Bergoglio’s Freemasonic legacy—the Catholic Church in T-Town can relieve itself of this undesirable minority.
This community’s destruction has been a passion project for the New Order Church in Tulsa. Parishioners here have a history of being on the receiving end of spiteful treatment, as I covered HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. But Okie Traditionalist summed it up most succinctly:
“[C]onsider that since Bishop Slattery (RIP) retired in 2016, the works of traditional restoration under him have over and over been as a matter of fact ended. This includes the Doloran Fathers, Mother Miriam’s Daughters of Mary, the traditional style Ad Orientem Novus Ordo Mass on Sundays at the cathedral, weekly Sunday Vespers at the cathedral, etc. That is in fact a pattern.”
With traditional life being cordoned off, the Tulsa diocese can now move on and catch up with Tulsa’s ever-growing liberal trends. From the Kaiser Foundation’s unending machinations, to a castrated police force, to reparations, DEI quotas, and pagan city council prayers, Tulsa is on her fast track to becoming a successful 15-minute city, much in the same vein as Austin, Chicago, or even LA. Gentner Drummond can’t take over fast enough!
Meanwhile, perhaps the Traditional community is either so meek or so beaten down, as to take this news with an air of cynical expectation. Heads hanging low, they’ll shuffle off to some other meadow to graze. A new diaspora of Trads for 2025. At least, I suppose, they won’t be trampling on the crumbs of our Lord’s Body in the diocesan worship space they were permitted to share. It’s doubtful there will be any protest.
In Tulsa, New Church intends to smother authentic Catholicism with a pillow, such that it dies a quiet death. Supposed shepherds would like nothing better than for wholesome, Traditional Catholic families to go away. We’re not the flock they want. They wish our communities were aborted—so that they’d not have to trouble themselves with our small minority. And these same powers will use their authority to culturally “contracept”, and prevent Tulsa from producing any more such people.
Today, however, people will hear about this and know. We will not be gaslit. No matter how passive-aggressive and silent local Church authorities remain on these injustices.
Paragraph 33 of Vatican II’s absolutely wonderful and fraternal Lumen Genitum affirms that laypeople “share in the priestly, prophetic, and kingly office of Christ,” and that we are to be active in the Church and the world. Tulsa’s diocesan Catholic shepherds will, apparently, NOT carry the lamp of faith for castoffs like the Trads. So, I guess in the name of synodal accompaniment, I’ll have to call out what my lying eyes see.
Who, specifically, is to blame? No one knows, gollee-gee. Take your guesses. A dense fog of plausible deniability clogs the air, preserving the decision maker(s) from any optically-poor blowback. Their attack style established these past years, we can perceive an aggressor, always circling, unseen and unblameable. The laity is left with no one to blame for the theft of their patrimony.
It just boggles my mind. Who’s been in charge this entire time? I simply can’t figure it out. Shucks.
Prelates will dress in schnazzy vestments and pretend they’re on our side—even going so far as to chant or even say Latin Mass themselves. But they betray who they are with their silence. (I was talking about Pope Leo XIV. Who’d you think I was talking about?) Someone important once warned that in our troubled era, “He who should speak seasonably will remain silent.” But, really, what could a synodal priest do with Tulsa’s newly-excised rabble except get rid of them? As Good Pope Francis said, “ The Church cannot be closed in on itself, but must be close to the world.“
On that note, I’ll just leave this right here:
Friendship with the world is hostility toward God. Whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
James 4:4
Most American Catholics do not know the definition of a heretic. However, a smaller percentage of mainstream Catholics who have studied a little theology might know that Catholics used to call Protestants “heretics,” whereas they now prefer the term “separated brethren.” An even smaller percentage of Catholics, namely traditionalists, still prefer to label Protestants as “heretics” (as well they should.) However, most traditional Catholics today are hesitant to grant the moniker “heretic” to anyone in the clergy without a formal canonical trial. Why are they so free with the first group and hesitant with the second group?
They are afraid that an obvious heretic in the hierarchy as such undermines the indefectibility of the Church. (The indefectibility of the Catholic Church is her invincibility against any error of faith or morals, that the gates of hell will not prevail against her, and I very much believe in it.) However, many traditionalists today have a false understanding of the Catholic Church if they erroneously believe the Church’s indefectibility depends on modernist heretics. (One need only study the Arian crisis a little bit to see that not every bishop in pretty vestments is a Catholic. In fact, the Catholic Church eventually ruled all the Arian bishops to be non-Catholics even if they had valid sacraments at the time.)
But back to the topic that everyone is debating online today: Can an average lay Catholic recognize and reject a heretic in the alleged-hierarchy? I happily admit there are longer (and superior) articles to this one to show that any blue-collar Catholic can recognize a material public heretic (even if he be a member of the clergy) including Matthew McCusker writing here and Mark NVP quoting a Pope here and a longer article sourced from Fr. Paul Kramer here.
But today I’m going to give a shorter and Scriptural proof as to why you can recognize a heretic in the hierarchy without need of anyone in authority confirming it for you. In other words, a well-formed blue-collar Catholic can recognize any white-cassock heretic (er, I mean “collar”) even before the latter undergo a formal canonical trial or that mythical “imperfect Council.”
A few weeks ago in the old Divine Office, every priest had to read the second letter of St. John the Apostle. Although we read it in Latin in our ancient Roman Breviary, I will include the verses that stopped me in my tracks in English from two translations of the same chapter:
Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.—2 John 1:9-11 (ESV.)
or the same verses in an older translation with some original manuscript variations:
Whosoever revolteth, and continueth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that continueth in the doctrine, the same hath both the Father and the Son. If any man come to you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into the house nor say to him, God speed you. For he that saith unto him, “God speed you,” communicateth with his wicked works.—2 John 1:9-11 (DRB.)
Whichever translation you choose above, we know that the above verses were written under inspiration of the Holy Spirit by St. John the Apostle as he exhorted a laywoman and her children on how to keep the faith pure. (See 2 John 1:1 if you doubt this.) Think about it for a minute: One of the first Apostles instructed a laywoman with no formal training in the First Century that she had the ability (and duty!) to recognize and reject (not resist!) anyone who came to her who did not remain in the doctrine of Christ (non manet in doctrina Christi—v.8.)
But wait! Was she supposed to wring her hands and complain that she was not trained in theology first? Was she supposed to show false-humility and say she couldn’t recognize a crafty goon not maintaining Apostolic doctrine (hanc doctrinam non adfert—v.10) until she receive approval from a bishop? Or perhaps she was courageous enough to recognize such a heretic, but then this new believer in Ephesus was supposed to text (on her mythical ancient cell-phone) St. Peter to make sure someone in Rome agreed with her appraisal of the bad man as a heretic?
Of course, all these propositions are ludicrous. St. John truly believed a blue-collar Catholic—even a new convert—could recognize a heretic straight-away. That woman did not have to wait for a bishop (like St. John) to confirm her smell-test. She didn’t even need to write her Apostle friend to confirm her well-informed intellect. The Apostle expected her to avoid anyone who didn’t hold to Apostolic Catholicism. Why? Because real Catholicism is simple, not complex. In the first century, she didn’t have the luxury to wait for a Cardinal in red to identify a wicked man on her doorstep as a material public heretic. In fact, her salvation depended on common-sense, not canon law.
St. John finished his letter to the lay woman with a pretty terrifying warning: Any minor interaction of that laywoman with a heretic meant she was “cooperating in his evil works” (communicat operibus illius malignis—v. 11.) This would be true for blue-collar trads today who do damage control for a certain white-collar heretic, even if they proceed with soft words to “give him the benefit of the doubt for awhile.” Such Catholics think they are taking the safe route of salvation because they walk the pathway of ostensible-obedience. However, they are actually on the most dangerous road in obeying imposters and heretics. Just look at the evidence before you accuse me of calling names.
Of course, St. John the Beloved would be the first to admit our judgment as Christians will primarily be the extent to which we lived with supernatural charity. But charity cannot exist without faith. And faith cannot exist while one follows a heretic, even if one thinks him to be in the hierarchy. This is why a blue-collar Catholic can and must recognize and reject (not resist) a white-collar heretic and avoid him before being tempted to enter into any canonical games. It’s common sense. It’s Biblical. It’s clear in Church history.
STATE OF PLAY: WHY WE’RE MOBILIZING JUNE 14
HOSTING YOUR OWN NO KINGS MOBILIZATION
NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to the increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political positions, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies. They think they rule—but we are bigger than even their worst aspirations.
NO KINGS events should be additive and congruent with adjacent mobilizations and recognitions, including Veterans celebrations, Pride events, and Juneteenth on 6/19.
President Trump thinks his rule is absolute, but in America, we don’t do “kings.” Since the inauguration, the Trump administration and its enablers have operated as though they have a mandate—but they don’t, and never did. They are going to extremes to empower the Trump administration and enrich themselves, while cutting jobs and services for the rest of us. Now, they’re turning Flag Day into a celebration of President Trump.
💰 He’s using OUR tax dollars to pay for HIS party: President Trump’s birthday celebration is expected to cost millions of our tax dollars, all while Republicans claim there’s no money for Social Security, SNAP, or Medicaid.
👑 We are united against kings: President Trump has already indicated that he’s aiming for at least a third term, and now he’s planning a self-aggrandizing military parade in D.C But the American people don’t put up with kings. Together, we will mobilize in huge numbers to reject this corruption and abuse of power—it’s in our DNA as a country.
✋ They’ve gone too far: This is bigger than political disagreement. They’ve defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services—all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies. Enough is enough. For anyone who thinks he’s gone too far, this movement is for you.
We’re standing together against the abuses of power, cruelty, and corruption. On June 14, we gather to remind President Trump and his enablers: America has No King!
Whether you’re outraged by attacks on civil rights, skyrocketing costs, abductions and disappearances, the gutting of essential services, or the assault on free speech—this moment is for you. Whether you’ve been in the fight for years or you’re just fed up and ready to take action—this moment is for you.
🛑 We need to build a massive, visible, national rejection of this crisis. On June 14, we will see events across the country, in major cities and small towns in every state. Our goal is to show that the people—the majority—are taking action to stop the corruption and power grab.
💪 The power is in your hands. Join us. If there’s a mobilization in your area, sign up to attend. If not, use this toolkit to host your own in your area.
If there’s not already a registered NO KINGS event in your local area, the power is in your hands to host your own. This toolkit is for anyone hosting their own NO KINGS mobilization to help you build your event, recruit, and execute. Be sure to check the map before registering your event so you’re not overlapping with another that’s already been planned!
REGISTER YOUR EVENT ON MOBILIZE NOW
Hosting a NO KINGS event is a big opportunity, and a big responsibility. If you sign up to host, you’ll get plenty of support from the NO KINGS team, and be the primary point of contact for anyone in your area who is interested in participating. Only sign up to host if you (and a team of your friends and allies) are ready to drive the event from start to finish.
We encourage interested participants to join existing events where possible, and connect with organizers of pre-registered events instead of setting up your own. If you want to be connected to an event host, register for their event on Mobilize—your event registration confirmation email will include a link to contact the organizer.
A note on creating events in Mobilize: it is recommended that hosts do not enter an attendee max capacity unless necessary; most locations will not require capacity limits, and entering one will prevent additional sign-ups.
On June 14, we will host demonstrations across the country to fight back against this crisis and demand accountability. Not all demonstrations will look the same, but they should all prioritize visibility and the core message: NO KINGS.
A core principle behind all NO KINGS events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property. |
While No Kings is a day of protest occurring for the first time on June 14th. However, weekend of June 14th overlaps with events like Pride and Juneteenth in some areas. These celebrations are more important in our nation now than ever. It’s important to ensure that No Kings events you are hosting don’t detract or come into conflict with these events. Here’s some guidance for what to do:
Real World Examples
Do you have last minute questions about hosting your No Kings Day event? Do you need to troubleshoot an emerging issue? Need to escalate a security concern in the days leading up to or the day of your action? Call the No Kings Event Hotline to get immediate support: CALL 301-541-8301 to speak with a member of the No Kings team. The hotline will be live from 8a-8p ET Wednesday, June 11 – Saturday June 14.
FIND NO KINGS GRAPHICS LIBRARY HERE.
You can download signs and print them at home or take them to a local printer. Want to make your own signs? Try out these messages:
Bring the American flag! It’s no coincidence that No Kings Day falls on Flag Day. It’s past time we remind this nation, and the world, of the true definition of America: A nation that accepts your tired, your poor, your huddled masses and ensures they have the right to every freedom guaranteed to the person standing next to them. Bring out your American flags, encourage your attendees to do the same, let’s reclaim this symbol and remind the world that the freedom we stand for is freedom for all.
To start, please review our No Kings Action Guidelines.
Event hosts are encouraged to attend an upcoming safety and de-escalation training to learn more about how to integrate best practices into your event. You can see the trainings we’re offering and sign up HERE! Wherever you are, and whatever your level of concern, these trainings are a great opportunity to learn about security best practices to consider for every event, to help ensure your event is as safe and welcoming as possible for all attendees.
In addition, here are a few safety and security-related resources to check out:
If you should have any safety questions or concerns about your event, please email them to security@nokings.org.
If you are encountering a medical or other type of emergency, please contact your local emergency personnel.
If your group needs special event insurance for your event, we encourage you to consider obtaining insurance, at your own cost, through one of these outside sources:
As a host, you’re not alone! NO KINGS organizers are here to help. Be sure to check out the resources listed below as you are finalizing your event plans
If you have questions, email events@nokings.org.
As we approach June 14, it will be important to get your plans together so you can host a successful event. There’s a lot that goes into planning a demonstration, and below are just some of the key steps to follow when laying out your NO KINGS event.
Choose a time. It is also a best practice to check in with group members and potential speakers to see what’s most convenient before finalizing a time. As always, consider what times will be most accessible for folks in your community. Most NO KINGS events will take place midday.
Location and logistics. This is the next choice-point for your group. Try to prioritize landmarks or other public sites with high-visibility, like state capitols or city halls, major parks, or in other high traffic outdoor areas in your community.
Register your event to recruit through Mobilize and the NO KINGS website. Once you have your event set, register it on Mobilize and it will show up on the NO KINGS map of events. That way we can help push out your event and help recruit attendees.
Delegate and determine roles. Demonstrations require a lot of support, and no one person can make them happen on their own. Be sure to identify a team of leaders to help carry out your event and empower folks to take on key responsibilities. Depending on the scale of your event, you may want to create teams or just have one point person for specific duties. You can find some specific ideas for roles below.
Brainstorm and recruit speakers. If you’re holding a rally, you’ll need compelling speakers to anchor the agenda. Aim to lock in 2-4 speakers who can talk authentically about the crisis we face. Examples include:
These are just a few potential examples, but ideal speakers will be reflective of your community and be able to speak directly to the harms of this crisis from a local perspective.
Build a Recruitment Plan and start recruiting. After posting your event to Mobilize, be sure to share it with your networks, both directly and on social media. Reach out to other people in your network and ask them to share, and think about creative ways to get the word out about your event—including local bulletin boards, flyers, and more.
Prepare any props or setup needs. At the very least, you need a megaphone and a few signs with your demands. If it’s available to you, it is also helpful to have a podium, press packets, water, and banners. As a registered host, keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities for resource support from the NO KINGS team.
Getting media attention is fundamental for this event. This section will guide you step by step on engaging the press and generating earned media for your events. While getting press to show up and cover your event is never a sure thing, these are best practices that will increase your chances.
For information on how to build any of the resources in this guide, check out Indivisible’s resource on Press Releases, Media Advisories, and More.
A media list is exactly what it sounds like; a list of reporters and media outlets in your area that you want to tell about your event. To get started, list all the newspapers, radio, and TV news stations you already know of, and then look on their websites for contact information. You’re usually looking for a “newsroom” email and phone number, often listed in the “contact us” menu on their website.
Giving reporters a heads up about your event early before you send an advisory is an effective way to start building a relationship with them and get more media out to your events and to cover your group’s work. These emails are short and simple with fewer details than advisories. If you’re a few days out from your event or closer, skip this step and focus on sending your advisories.
The next step is to let the media know about your event. Advisories are emails you send to reporters and outlets on your media list with details about the event. The format generally breaks down what the event is about, the date, time, and location and who the spokespeople are.
When the press attends an event, they’ll likely want to speak one-on-one with people there. So first, identify 1-3 people who will be ready to speak with reporters and help them prepare what they want to say. They should be ready to talk about your group, the event, why we’re mobilizing for NO KINGS. The best practice is to stay close to your overall message, keep it concise, and have a few quotes ready to go (which you can also use in your press release). Speaker message guidance HERE!
Once the event has started, focus on running the best event you can! If reporters come, connect them with one of your prepped spokespeople.
A press release is a communication, usually via email and no longer than about one page, that gives a reporter some of the basics they’d need to write a story about something: background about what’s happening, quotes from relevant people, and contact information they can use to find out more. The best practice is to send these as soon after your event as possible.
Submit your event attendance data to Harvard’s Crowd Counting Consortium (CCC), ensuring you cite a publicly accessible source to validate crowd size. This ensures your event, and its attendance get counted in a reliable, reputable and nonpartisan way.
We know there is a lot that goes into hosting an event and it can sometimes be overwhelming, so our team has compiled a list of resources for you to have at the ready as we get closer to June 14, our No Kings day of nationwide mobilization. In addition to everything included above in this Host Toolkit, we have compiled a list of some frequently asked questions that might come up as you are finalizing the details for your event.
In addition to the resources written out here, we have a Host Hotline available to you! Call the No Kings Event Hotline to get immediate support: CALL 301-541-8301 to speak with a member of the No Kings team. The hotline will be live from 8a-8p ET Wednesday, June 11 – Saturday June 14.
What do I do in case of a security issue?
Our RSVPs have grown a lot — do I have enough marshals?
I received a threatening email – what should I do?
As hosts, it’s important that we keep our event’s overall success in mind, even as we need to pivot and adapt to changing circumstances. Things don’t have to go exactly as we imagined to go well! It’s not the plan that’s important – it’s outcomes like these that matter most:
So please keep outcomes like these in mind as you encounter logistical hurdles, and be ready to improvise! Some specific issues you might encounter:
Some of my speakers didn’t show up! What should I do?
We have too many people for the space of the event. What should I do?
Our volunteers didn’t show up or canceled at the last minute.
I forgot something at home, and my event starts soon.
The weather forecast is bad.
Help! I need to edit my event at the last minute (eg: due to a change in venue)
I submitted my event on Mobilize but I’m not seeing it yet…
How do I email my RSVP list in Mobilize?
I have X number of people registered for my event – how many people should I plan for?
Something has come up at the last minute, and I can no longer host. (Eg: I contracted COVID; my childcare fell through; I have had a family emergency) Should I cancel my event?
I need more volunteers (for safety marshal roles, or speakers, or to help on site setup / cleanup, etc.)
