TGIF…Still 500K uncounted: “This is how things work in Arizona and have for decades,” okay?

That headline is one whopper of a lie. But I did find out some new info: The votes are counted in the order received, so the 500K outstanding are ballots cast or dropped off on election day. That actually favors the GOP candidates, since those votors would have been more liekly to vote in person or to personally submit their written ballot rather than mailing it into the Hobbsian machine. -nvp

Arizona still has nearly 500,000 ballots left to count

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5/AP) — There are still nearly 500,000 ballots left to count statewide, most of them in metro Phoenix and Tucson…

Election officials in Maricopa County, which includes metro Phoenix and more than 60% of voters, are expected to begin reporting results Friday from a crucial group of ballots — nearly 300,000 mail ballots that were returned on Election Day. That group has swung wildly in recent election cycles, from strongly Democratic in the 2018 midterms to strongly Republican in 2020. Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer and County Supervisor Bill Gates said on Thursday evening that they wouldn’t meet their goal of having 95% of the ballots counted by Friday…

“This is how things work in Arizona and have for decades,” said Gates. He said staff are working 14 to 18 hours a day and will continue through the weekend. “We are doing what we can and still maintaining accuracy,” Gates said…

  1. I’ve witness election fraud, not that dissimilar from AZ.

About 40 years ago, a candidate for President of the Board of my local Little League ((TM)…yeah, come get me LLBB. You allowed this to happen) chapter was responsible for counting the votes. Low and behold, in Joey Stalin fashion, she won. Who knew?

The inescapable facts are A) the board allowed it B) it was Little League Baseball (TM)
